This just sucks. OK he was stupid to risk his career for weed but it doesn't give him an edge and it's relatively harmless. Here comes the same old circular argument, "it's wrong because it's illegal and it's illegal because it's wrong." It's just ridiculous that talent is wasted on something so meaningless. I think riding a bike with no helmet on is much more stupid and risky but hey, Roethlisberger is an all american guy right? Here's to all the judgemental a holes who think Ricky Williams is a "bad" guy.

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up

What the F*ck is phyric??

It means you beat the TAR out of the opponent, but it cost you dearly...:bricks:

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up [merged: Travis Henry busted]

I have to say, Henry is really living up to his single-digit Wonderlic score. With both the weed and the scattered seed, it's not just that he did it...it's that he kept making the same mistakes over and over, even after they cost him.

Travis henry NFL rushing leader busted for dope smoking...
Texans Wrs really beat up perhaps a trade is coming to clear room for T Brown or C Jackson?....
Updates per Rotoworld

Trade is my speculation...

Are you suggesting the trade of Kelley Washington? If so why would the Texans won't him since he's also beat up?

Gaffney potential 5-7 round trade value
Stallworth potential 2-3rd rounder (Only if we felt C Jackson and/or T Brown
would not be a significant downgrade)
Washington potential 5-7 rounder Do we really know how beat up he is or just that he couldn't crack our top 45?

Dude, seriously you and I both know Stallworth isn't going anywhere.

I could see trading Gaffney or Washington and from what I understand yes, Washington has been at least somewhat banged up.

If we trade any one of those guys for the trade value you listed, after getting Randy Moss for a 4th, then it's clear that God is a Patriots fan. :)

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up [merged: Travis Henry busted]

The Travis Henry story could get interesting, aparently he's suing the NFL to block the results of the urine sample.

Henry fired the first salvo in the case Sept. 20 when he attempted to get a restraining order in Suffolk County Supreme Court to block the NFL from using a urine specimen against him and to stop the league from disclosing the test results.

Court papers filed in the state court action couldn't be reviewed late Thursday, and Henry's attorney Robert Dapelo of Patchogue declined comment. But papers filed by the NFL on Monday in federal court suggested that Henry may have failed the test because the documents stated that Henry was trying to stop the league from testing his specimen and "suspending from his employment with the NFL."
...

Henry claims that the NFL violated league substance abuse policy by not allowing his experts to be present for testing of his urine specimen, court papers stated.

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up [merged: Travis Henry busted]

Wouldn't it be great if the Broncos grabbed Ricky Williams once he is allowed back in?

NOW THAT Would be the guy who you should sign as a replacement for the guy who had been smokin the wacky tobaccy! :D

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up [merged: Travis Henry busted]

The next time you grumble about the league charging $8.00 for a beer think of poor Travis and poor Ricky, who are paying or have paid a year's salary for a joint:D

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up

Congrats on your victory over a historically quality Bronco team.
However even you will admit a phyric victory with injuries to Morris,Sanders,Addai and Harrison...

I'm just glad someone used it properly, correct spelling or not. In the last several years I have heard Dennis Miller (repeatedly) and Tony Kornheiser (Just last Monday) use Phyrric as a synonym for "moral victory". Like when the Bengals, losing by three touchdowns, have a nice drive that ends in a field goal. Doesn't matter to the outcome of this game, but the Bengals can take that drive as a Phyrric victory

For F*ck's sake, if you want to impress us with your knowledge of big words, have the courtesy to use them properly.

I guess the jury is still out on that one. I take the win, and the loss of those players for 1 week. However, if Addai and Harrison are hobbled all year, then I'd gladly sacrifice the win for healthy players.

Colts fans are obviously hoping to make do this weekend with the injuuries we have, and hope that everyone returns to health in week 7.

BTW,

Is there a standard now for concussions?? 5-6 weeks?? I realize it depends on severity, but once the C word is out there, does the NFL recommend a minimum wait time??

Re: Bronco Dopehead,Texans WRs beat up [merged: Travis Henry busted]

The NFL needs to chill the f*ck out with this. It's not performance enhancing. It's not like he's a crossing guard or an air traffic controller. Enough already, let the guy smoke his piff.

I agree 100%. I wish more people were outraged by this. Is Marijuana supposed to be a "performance-enchancing" drug? Would he be banned from the NFL for parking tickets?

Ricky is the property of the Miami Dolphins who would need to TRADE him to Denver before the looming trade deadline.

I'm pretty sure that the NFL does distinguish between their substance-abuse program and their performance enhancer ban. For instance, I believe that with steroids/HGH there's no first strike where you "enter the program," it's an immediate suspension.

I think pot just got swept up in the general housecleaning where they were trying to clean up a drug-drenched league. It's certainly arguable that, say, smoking pot, shooting heroin and driving drunk are totally different animals and should be dealt with differently. But I can't really blame the league for deciding not to go down the path of assigning grades to every imaginable drug and drug-related offense, it would be a nightmare.
