anybody see him limp off? did it look bad?icouldnt see itas i tivod it

No, they are poor with injuries, but he was listed as questionable to return which to me means it was more than a little bruise or twist. If he is out for any time, that would leave 2 TEs and none on the PS, right? Maybe time to make some calls....

Oh brother another young player all banged up. What is this the Maroney school of injury ;) ;) ;) ;)

He didn't play an offensive snap according to Reiss, so it must have happened on one of the kick-offs.

I see the winks, so I won't jump on you for that. :)

If Thomas is out for a while, Watson is the only true receiving TE. K.Brady seems too enormous to be used regularly on routes. It's hard to imagine a big body like that getting separation from a nimble LB. He's more of a surprise play or a goal line jump pass.

Good thing Belichick has a pretty good WR or two.

Shadow roster Rivers..maybe getting a call soon...depending on the extent of the injury..

Forgot all about Rivers. He looked pretty good in pre-season. After the usual musical chairs at TE backup, he really stepped up. You're absolutely right, if Thomas goes on IR (and there is NO reason to think that!) calling Rivers would be high on Pioli's to-do list.

I was half kidding. I agree with you about Brady. I hope Thomas is not hurt bad. Seems like the young bucks cant stay healthy.

Reiss said this morning:
Free agent tight end Marcellus Rivers, who was with the Patriots for parts of training camp and is near the top of the team's list to return if the leg injury David Thomas sustained Monday night is a long-term issue, tried out with the Dolphins yesterday. Yet Miami didn't move to sign him immediately.

Anyone have any idea of the injury? Foot injuries can be nasty, hope it's not an aggravation.

Yes, I would sign rivers yesterday if that were the case.

Looks live Rivers blew off the Dolphins because he has a better offer on the table.

Rivers in town
In a sign that the leg injury suffered by tight end David Thomas in Monday’s game might keep him out of action, the Patriots are hosting free-agent tight end Marcellus Rivers on a visit today at Gillette Stadium. Rivers spent time with the Patriots in training camp this year.

funny faster than I mentioned shadow roster...Rivers is in town....looks like Thomas's injury might be a BIT more severe...
