Did anyone see Mike Vrabel juke that fan out after his TD?

He rushed towards the back of the EZ acting as though he was going to give the Football away, and as the guy reached down for it, he pulled it away like "NOPE"! :D

That was hilarious, because you know those fans were talking all kinds of crap when they were down there on the GL.

I'm sure that most of the time Vrabel is more serious than a heart attack (and that will be even more true when he becomes a coach).

It's great that he can revel in some widely-reported exceptions.

According to Bru's book, he's the biggest joker out there.

I dunno, it kind of bugs me when players taunt the crowd. When our guys mocked the Eagles "wing flap" in SB 39, I felt it was the kind of unnecessary "in yer face" stuff that we should be above and beyond as a class organization.

I totally agree.

the way things were going for the bengals, the fan would probably have thrown the ball back

Just like they did with Corey Dillon last year...

According to Bru's book, he's the biggest joker out there.

And according to Patriot Reign, too, and numerous articles about him.

Dan Pires (who posts on the Planet) says Vrabel is his biggest tormentor. :)

Basically, Vrabel knows exactly when he should be serious, and when he should be a character.

Bengals deserve it.

LOL, sometimes he might cross the line though. I distinctly remember reading in Bru's book how Vrabel's jokes about the stroke began to piss him off after awhile.

Ooof!

Regards,
Chris

While I'm certain Vrabel did it in a playful, not mean spirited manner, I didn't really like it either. Taunting the fans with cheap tricks is low brow stuff; plus it's bad karma. However, it was most likely a deliciously deliberate move by Vrabel to skewer the folks out there so ready to say what a bunch of cheatin', nasty thugs the Pats have become.

He did it in '05 after picking off Jake Delhomme and scoring in Carolina. I think he just likes giving the business to opposing fans. Nothing wrong with that!

He's done that before after catching touchdowns

I am still waiting for a Moss MOON! Is Chokeland on our sked??

I totally agree.

Bragging rights & Swagger are part of the game...for ALL players...without exception.

Think about the emotion, effort, pain and suffering NFL players go through in a season. When a team, even the Patriots, wins the ultimate prize called the Super Bowl, all the emotions are released.

The Patriots are different in that they hold more back than any other team during the season. But IMO, they deserve to swagger & flaunt during the playoffs and when they win a SB.

I think we ALL recall the game against the Steeler in 2001 when they made their reservations for the AFC Championship after assuming they'd beat the Pats.

Did the Patriot players deserve to stand in the middle of their stadium waving terrible towels?

ABSOLUTELY!!

We should be fine with our players swaggering and flaunting after a hard fought playoff game...especially when the other team has been shooting their mouths off...I'm all for it!

That's pretty hard core. But not as bad as what that a-hole Dallas Clark did Sunday. He tossed the ball into the stands after he scored and then demanded it back from the fan who caught it -- and that's the HOMETOWN fans being treated that way. Definitely not very nice.

Where did you see that?? Got a link?
