Just a couple years ago, I think we all would have looked at yesterday's game as a phenomenal game. Now, though, given the last three weeks, I honestly felt a bit disappointed that the Pats didn't clean the Bengals' clocks even further.

[Edit for clarity: if I rated yesterday on a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being the Dolphins right now, 10 being the Patriots the last three weeks, I'd rate yesterday around a 9.5 or so. Hence why I say a bit disappoined.]

What do you think?

I'm still pissed off ;)

LOL, it was a touch sloppy but when you (me) come into work and complain because we had 1 punt, 1 turnover and 3 penalties you really don't have much to complain about :)

It would have been better if the Bengals were 3-0. But that organization has problems.

Coming out of a timeout with 12 men on the field....embarrasing.

Move to Atlanta for a couple of weeks and root for the Falcons and then get back to us

i thought is was a good, professional, win. We dominated every facet of the game. I think we could have rolled them even more than we did. We were doing the whole ball control thing for half the game. You know the colts would have put the pedal down and just put up huge numbers. Very professional football team.

:singing: ****ing Aye, Batman.......... You know you're good way as a fan, when your team's messageboard posts a thread like this :singing:

Hey, I think next week the only this that will satify me, is if we're able to sit our starters by the half. Really, seriously folks.......... Next time I get disapointed that we only win by 21, I'm gonna jump in the time machine and back to 1990, or perhaps 1992. Just for a minute though, I can still feel the pain of those seasons.

A win is a win.

crackpot!!

You Play To Win The Game.

They did.

I know exactly what you're talking about. And I know you're not panicking or anything close to it. Just that you thought it would be EVEN EASIER. I hear that. Nice to look up at the end and see 34 points and only 13 for a VERY potent offense.

I remember when Parcells came in to clean up the mess and guys like Tommy Hodson ran the show and first downs were a real struggle and touchdowns were practically unheard of. The thought of actual victory was like climbing Everest. Now, the team sneezes touchdowns and victory is a foregone conclusion. Full circle.

Only in that it wasn't 38-13.

I don't think disappointment is really the right word, but what strikes me is what an incredibly high level of execution the Pats have established this season--so when there's any sense of another team on the field, it feels slightly off. That sounds ridiculous, but it's true--you feel surprised when Cincinnati put some pressure on Brady, when a drive stalls and they settle for a field goal or punt, etc.

Plus, there's another sense where it's not totally crazy. If the Bengels get it in the end zone at the end of the first half, it's a 17-14 game, after a first quarter where the Pats outgained the Bengels 8,400 to 2. So that struck me too.

But wow, really.

I was ecstatic about this win! it showed me that the Pats red zone D still needs some fixing but all in all were able to stop Palmer, Johnson, and Houshmand...

It also showed how incredible Moss is, if we didn't already know it. It also showed the incredible depth we have at RB. Teams will now have to gameplan both Maroney and Morris as well as Brady, Moss, and AD. All this without Rodney and Seymour.

Are you kidding me with this question?

Not to mention Welker and Dante.

I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!!

After the first 14 or so points of margin, the size of a victory lies more in the ratio of the two teams' scores than their difference.

The Pats, for obvious reasons of strategy, elected to go on some grind-it-out clock-eating drives.

Gawd.... is this what it's come down to? We're all junkies. :snob:

You cannot be serious. A 21 point road win against an offense like that?

Puh-leeeeze.

I'm happy with how our defense performed, that's what I was looking forward to seeing.

Also, although I'm not disappointed, your poll indicates 17 agree with you
