Can they stop the spy gate talk

If they're seen as cheaters? Dude, have you missed the last month?

I'm looking at this from the view of the commish. He thinks because he said the Pats didn't use that video in the Jets game then that vindicates the Pats. Of course ppl are going to speculate and say the Pats have cheated since day 1.

disagree. It's a ridiculous story, no matter which team did this. Nobodoy is being truly honest about it, and I think that's empirically bogus and the EXACT thing that is wrong with the media - in sports and out.

I agree it's a dumb story now, because the tapes are destroyed and we'll never know how deep this video taping business went. I always get this Peyton tea bagged or mooned some female in College from Pats fans. If it was found out the Colts taped signals everyone would be like oh so that's why the Colts move the ball so well they cheat.

Quit whining. You know if spy gate were about the Colts you guys would have a field day talking about it. But since it's about the Pats we need to quit talking about it.
This is true, I mean, how many times have we heard about phantom rule changes, piped in noise, and faulty AC units??

If I could have reach into my TV and grabbed Tony K, I would have beaten him like a rented mule.

It's not like he hasn't given his opinion on this 1001 times already. He has to yap in the middle of a game.

Well..we will never know if that is true...because there's no way Polien and Dungy would ever get caught...it's hard to catch the wolves when they control puppet Goodell.

This is exactly what irks Pats fans about the whole "Cameragate" issue. You do realize that it's NOT against the rules to tape the other teams signals, but only to where and how you tape them, don't you?

There are "coaches cameras" positioned at approved locations in ALL NFL stadiums. Those cameras can tape ANYTHING they want, including the other teams signals.

The Pats were penalized for violating and ignoring the warning for the rule of having a camera on the sidelines, NOT for what they recorded with that camera.

So, deny it all you want, but right now Tony Dungy and his staff are reviewing numerous game tapes showing their opponents sideline and trying to decipher their defensive signals in preparation for possible future games.

I understand it doesn't help support the agenda of opposing teams fans, coaches and players since it takes away their excuse for why they lost. Anyone who thinks the mere presence of a video camera on the Pats sidelines was the difference between winning or losing is all but admitting they don't know very much about football.

...

Excellent articulation in clear terms. Thanks!

If this is true, then why didn't we (meaning the Pats FO) explain it in a simple letter or interview that would have gone a long way in clearing up all loose talk/speculation/suspicion? By choosing not to address the issue and wanting to 'move-on', we are offering more fodder to everyone to keep this going on for many years.

.

Bring it on!! Talk about it MORE!!

Oh, how I love it when my football team gets dissed!! Hoo-boy.

Keep it on the chalkboard all season, please!!!

:D

Don't get me wrong. I too am elated when Lady Tomlinson and Ward make all kind of disparaging remarks because this will galvanize us into pulverizing them.

However, this motivation that paves the way for a solid W is only for this season.

Whereas, the 'cheating' tag - which we allow most of the media and ex-football 'analyst' to hit us with - will always stick with us if we don't make any strong efforts to hit back at this smear campaign and clear the confusion.

Will this be done later after the season? I hope so...

heh...this 18>12 mutt is a real genius...of course the Colts don't need cameras...they just have Polian change the rules every year until EVERY SINGLE RULE favors Peytie Pout and his offense

Havfe no idea what 18>12 means but I do know that nothing could be better than YOU killing yourself.

18>12 is a reference to Manning (jersey #18) and Brady (#12). It's pretty lame.

ESPN is obsessed with spygate. Hope they keep it up it will only give the Pats more incentive. I never listen to MNF, just watch with audio turned off and radio turned on. Could ESPN slip in any more commercials . Several times they missed the start of a play because they just had to get that little extra commercial break.

AMEN to that, and how long does Napolian get to stay on the comp committee?

Honestly, I hope they keep it up. You notice we didn't hear much other then a few coaches and players that have suffered at the Pats hands. Except the opposing SB coaches, they have all said it's a joke to consider the taping as helping the Pats win the games since the Pats almost lost all 3 in the 2nd half. I love how Wines and Toothlessburger chimed in, see ya Dec 9th morons. You know their comments will be on the locker room walls to remind the Pat's players how these 2 disrespected them. Manning was smart enough to avoid saying anything, he knows the last thing the Pats need is motivation from him, too bad for them that Dungy didn't follow suit.

Only fools kick a sleeping dog, I almost wonder if this was planned.

Kraft " Bill, I'd like to break that stupid record now that we have these players "

Bill " It'll never be done, there's no way you could motivate the players to play hard every game "

Kraft " Well, if you can think of anything, I'll extend your contract "

Bill " Well, if we create a scandal that gives the impression we cheated to everyone but the players, the media will question everything those guys have done, that's the best motivation, disrespect "

Kraft " Bill, hows a 6 year extension sound ? "

Of course I'm joking ................

The honest truth is Pats fans wouldn't let you hear the last of it if the Bengals or Colts got caught cheating. Mort even said the commish swept it under the rug to protect the shield (NFL logo) the truth is there is probably more to this story.

Your right, like boy this is a widespread problem thoughout the entire NFL

You know what, like others have mentioned, let them keep talking about it. All the talk has motivated this team in a way I could not have imagined. Spygate and the ensuing hysteria happened, so might as well get some good out of it and let it help focus the team now.

AMEN to that, and how long does Napolian get to stay on the comp committee?
About as long as he can...the REAl challenge for Goodell will be to rotate those on that committee..where many of those there use that for their own advantage..HARDLY fair.

Spygate is just a big juicy, big ratings storyline. The media wants any angle they can get on this story.

Did you know who Greg Easterbrook was before this month?

.......hmm, that's what I thought but read his column didn't you? Would you have read his column if it was titled "Spygate, Case closed"?
