I am not a Patriot fan, but I am a NY Giants fan who never thought he would ever post a message on another teams football board in my life, until I see what I'm watching right now

This team may be the best football team Ive seen in my life. I don't want to hear that its only 4 weeks in and anything can happen, Im not saying this about some random NFL team. You guys have won 3 superbowls already, and could have won last year if not for a bounce of the ball here and there vs Indy. And now you have indisputably the best offense you have ever had during this run, with a defense as good as its ever been (and will get better when Harrison and Seymour returns), and most of all, something to prove. The Pats seem very motivated by the whole taping thing (which i always thought was overrated)

Best offense in football
Arguably the best defense in football
The best coach in football
And something to prove
Oh my goodness

Please be easy on the NFL. This is like watching the 2001 Miami Hurricanes navigate their way through college football. Cincinatti is a solid team in an excellent conference, but they played the role of Temple University tonight

I have the dish and mainly watch NFC East football but I have found myself watching a lot of Pats games this year. What you guys have right now is special. Randy Moss and Tom Brady should not be legal

Please find a way to trip up once somewhere along the line, I don't want to face a 15-0 Pats team in week 17. Give me Matt Cassell and a bunch of 2nd stringers

Hello Nick, and welcome. Let me just say that I'm thrilled with this team, but I'm not willing to coronate them just yet. They haven't played any elite teams yet. If/When they beat the Cowboys and Colts I will start to really get behind the notion that they have to be the favorites to win it all. Right now, the Colts are still the World Champs and undefeated in their defense, and the Cowboys are playing head and shoulders above everyone else in the NFC.

P.S. The Giants may finally be seeing their quarterback become legit. Good for you fans!

We're an ok team with an ok qb and an ok coach. We haven't played anybody.

You just jinxed us with this love fest so "kalimazam-Zakinski"!! I just un-jinxed us for good!

Funny stuff. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but it is very hard....lol
Anyway to even be compared to the 85 Bears 86 Giants or one of those SF teams of the late 80's is quite a compliment and I thank you. Alas, there is still 12 games left and a lot can happen in that span so we must maintain our level headedness and hope for the best.

Congrats on that 12 sack night and tell Plaxico to keep putting up those great fantasy numbers for me.

lol
Don't buy into the hype too much. It's still a long season. It looks promising but one loss in the playoffs and it's over.

This is the best football team I have ever seen.

I just can't believe its my team. We are truly fortunate to be Pats fans. Enjoy this year, savor every moment because you may never see something like this ever again in your entire life.

The Colts are the defending champs and are also undefeated. Somehow they have been flying under the radar a little. But I think clearly, at the moment, it's the Colts and the Pats as the top teams in the AFC.

So much can happen in a season, a team can look great and then hit a rough patch...but I agree, this team right now is awesome and so much fun to watch.

Im not usually one to buy into the hype. In fact I have always been one to downplay the Pats as a team. I personally thought your 01 team was unbelievably fortunate to win the SB. Your 03 and 04 teams were excellent, but from the outside, boring, as great as they were. Thats not downplaying their greatness, at all. Those teams had an extremely long winning streak wrapped around those 2 seasons and repeated back to back, automatically that puts those teams among the all time elite (I always rooted for the Colts in those games though, Peyton Manning is football family)

But there is something about this team thats different. Obviously much of it has to do with Moss. And they just have a chip on their shoulders now, after 2 years without winning a ring. The Pats have already won 3 times, when youve already won and you dont win, you start craving winning again even more. They just seem like a team where everything is aligned right now. They have the talent and they have something to prove, and its scary

Obviously anything can happen, but from an outside perspective this Pats team just has the feel of something special. I didnt buy into the hype that much this offseason because i wasnt 100% sure what to make of Moss. But ive seen enough, hes Randy Moss again.

Calm down my Tom Brady towel holder! We could have just finished savoring the last thing worth savoring in 2007...all it takes is one key injury and BOOM! Everything changes.

Wait until December to really get excited. It'll be less stressful for you.

I am going to enjoy every minute of this ride. I live down in Tampa and I'm heading down to Miami next month and I can't wait to see them live.

Most of you guys sound like you went to the BB school of communication. It reads like one of his press con.
Haven't won anything yet.
Its earley
Its only four games etc.etc.etc  :D

PatriotMissle, Im a little young for the 86 Giants and 85 Bears. I know the Giants were a dominant football team and everyone always mentions the 85 Bears defense. My memories really dont start until 1988, Bill Walsh's last season in San Francisco.

Im just saying I think they are the best Ive seen, which really covers about the last 20 years. There has been some great teams during that time, especially those Dallas teams, but I think what the Pats have been able to assemble in this cap era is just amazing right now. This team is simply loaded, well coached, motivated, they have everything

Yes its funny. I think its good for BB and the team to take one game at a time and I hope they never mention 16-0. But we are fans, we're allowed to be a little giddy and talk out of our asses.

Besides I think expecting 19-0 is just good positive energy.

There does seem to be something unique about this year. The combination of the guys who were here for the super bowl wins and the new blood is panning out to be better than I could have hoped for. Belichick and Pioli still destroy everyone else at talent evaluation and roster management. Thank god Pioli turned down that squawks offer and stuck around. :rocker:

It's all good man! Nothing wrong with having a 2nd favorite team in another conference. The Giants and the pats will always have SOMEWHAT of a shared fanbase. Allot of people in this area rooted for the NYG prior to 1960.

Your absolutly right. My father is a Giants fan,and so was I until I discovered we had our own team back in 1973. I still root for the Giants, except when they play the Pats.

Moga, I never said favorite. I dont root for the Pats, I'd probably root for the Colts against the Pats if they met down the line, but watching you guys this year has been fun. I just appreciate watching dominance in all sports when it comes along, and I think the Pats have a shot to be an all time dominant squad

Hey Brooklyn Nick....

How'd that dominating run by the 2001 Canes end up? Just to refresh everyone's memory they lost to Ohio St. The Patriots are great and Nov. 4th should be a phenomenal game, but I fully expect my Colts to win that shootout and take a major step toward securing home field adv. As an aside, I think it's going to take a 14-2 record to get HFA.

But did you know BB cheated?? Not sure that the national pundits can say this enough..

On the other hand this is the best football team I have ever seen in my 45+ years of watching football.. of course I am an unabashed homer and hate Miami.
