I loved in the post game interview when a reporter asks BB how Moss gets open and even gets TD's when he's not open. BB replies "He's a pretty good receiver."

Almost drove onto the sidewalk.

LOL. Me and my dad were laughing. He ALWAYS refrains from calling someone great.

But Moss is probably one of the top 3 WR's in NFL history behind Rice. When BB says "pretty good" he means awesome.

was going to post it myself under the thread title of "classic BB"
it was vintage BB ..i was laughing..

He was clearly speaking with tongue in cheek. Understatement on purpose. He was smiling at the media, which always throws me off.

Just as good as When they asked Sammy Morris last week how he'd rate Brady as a QB and his reply was "He's an average QB."

Brady's comments are funnier....I dont have them off hand but he is smilin and laughin like man I love this dude....

Anyone think someday he will come out and give the huge props to some of the players and coaches? Something like Lawrence Taylor was the best Defensive player I ever coached. Or Ted Bruschi had the most heart and an uncanny sense of being in the right place all the time? Maybe after he retires. Who knows? Maybe to him some things aren't meant to be public and he reserves those points of views with his fellow coaches and players?

Based on the stats they showed on TV it is very doable for Moss to have more 100 yard games than JERRY RICE. He only needs 29 more. Hell if we resign him for 3 years with a small hometown discount everyone wins...:rocker: :rocker: :rocker:

Moss is the most talented player we've had. He's poetry in motion; artistry in conception. I just ordered jerseys for me and my son. Wow; simply wow.

I actually got up out of my seat when he got that first TD pass up on his shoulder, turned, and kept both feet in. The long bombs are always impressive but that play was uncanny. I can't believe he and Brady have only played four games together. Freak indeed. :rocker:

That catch there illistrates what I have noticed about a lot of the catches Moss makes.

Prior to this season, Brady did not have a receiver who could make that catch, or a lot of the other catches Moss makes.

It's getting to the point where if you see the ball headed in Moss's general direction, you almost know he is coming down with it.

best thing i like about moss..

he doesnt talk to the media much.

they say Rice is the best receiver ever... and he probably will be considered that for a long time.

But i've never ever seen a receiver as talented as Moss. Nobody is close.

Good on Bill. Reminds of the way the old Roman emperors used to employ special slaves who, when the emperor was being feted by his people as "god", would whisper in his ear: "you are only a man, only a man, only a man... "

This is almost exactly what Brady said in his interview last night. Something to the effect of "He catches everything I throw to him."

The second one wasn't bad either........... Brady overthrew that ball (kinda had too with the coverage), and not many receivers could have made that play. Certainly not any others on this team.

Brady's not the most talented player we've had?

On pure talent.......... I'd say Moss (he is a freak)

As for best player's on the team, It'd be close I think. I think that Moss may be the MOST talented receiver to EVER play. He'll go down as one of the top 2-3 receivers in history when all is said and done.

Brady is probably one of the top 3-4 QB's EVER to have played that position, so I think that it's a pretty close comparison between the two. If it came to it though, Brady is by far the most valuable member of the Patriots (outside BB).

Does it really matter? We have two of the best skill players EVER playing pass and catch each week. How often does that happen. Last time in football - Montana - Rice. They are that good.

To throw a bone to all the Colt's trolls - Manning/Harrison is a great combo too, but what took them several years to master, Brady/Moss has reached their level in what, 2 games? They will only get better.

Holley was just recounting how Moss came to be here. Access is incredible, other mediots would do well to cultivate some. He was recalling how Borges Oakland sources ripped Moss as aging rapidly, said his knees were toast, said he didn't care and did what he wanted to, :blahblah:...

Apparently when they brought Moss in they did some hardball good cop, bad cop tag team smackdown on Randy during the interview process to test his resolve. Told him they had their rings and they wouldn't put up with any crap. He finally broke down in tears and said, just get me out of there, I'll play for the minimum. And to date the turnaround has been better than they even expected. On and off the field where he is not only productive but a leader, mentor, solicitous of his teamates, coaches, fans. He's doing charity work including bussing in 45 kids from West Va for the game last night. They saved his career and his sanity, probably put him back on track for the HOF. I have a feeling he isn't going anywhere.
