Parcells accused the 49ers of writing down their first 15 plays, then shutting off the headsets in the actual games for both teams, two games in a row.

Yeah, I thought it was telling that Steve Young never denied Parcell's allegation.

Steve called it games manship that the 49ers would script there first 15 plays then fake headsets malfunctioning so opposing teams wouldn't be able to communicate to the QB.

That was a great exchange. In my opinion, it hugely discredited all the douchebags who are acting like the Pats only won 3 of 4 because they cheated (i.e. Peter King). It made this whole incident look like a huge joke. My respect for Parcells just went up (just a tiny bit).

This may have been addressed at the time, but I neglected to sift thru all the posts/pages, etc:

What about coaches who go into broadcasting/journalism and then return to coaching within a season or two. It happens often and they, I imagine, are privy to such insight and loss of regulation into other teams.

As a broadcaster/journalist, they would be given access to the same sort of insight given by "Spygate", but without the repurcussions. Thoughts?

These are the kind of stories that need to be told...It's called the truth and I'm sick of reading all the lies.

Any media person who condemns what the Patriots did WITHOUT mentioning this kind of thing has gone on for years, IS ACTUALLY LYING.

they are trying to paint a picture that is incomplete and has only the Pats as the bad guys...

Glad to see the veiled support for BB by BP, the reality is that every coach looks for an advantage, some call it gamesmanship some call it cheating.. every coach is on the hot seat to win games.. so no matter how you cut it any advantage helps.. right now we have mr. politically correct protect the integrity of the league in charge, so he is weilding a big stick.. most of all of this has been completely unnecessary and just something for the idle press to focus on.

I don't know about the young boy part, but I agree with the beginning of your sentence. He was one of the most sanctimonious critics of the Patriots when the cameragate story came out, even going so far as to say that their 3 Super Bowls were tainted. Yet, he was PERSONALLY involved in the 49ers salary cap violations which allegedly occured during their last Super Bowl years - only unproven because the 49ers agreed to a settlement with the league - funny how Mister Morman never mentioned ...

I thought it kinda wierd that most often who did the most complaining when spygate came out were O players. How does getting the other teams D signals help the Patriots D? Dumb football players
