Who would have thought the Browns would look like a tougher game for us than the Ravens or Cincy.
Pitt stumbled yesterday. Romeo may just stick around there awhile.

It'll take a while for everything to work itself out. At the end of the season I expect Cincy and Baltimore to be ahead of Cleveland. I realize points win games but the "stats" show Baltimore kicking their butts, they "just" gave up big plays when they didn't need to. The Browns have played every division team at home and still have to play them all on the road.

Baltimore will be lucky to win 8 games. The Browns will too, but Baltimore is not a good football team.
Did you watch any of the game????? Its ludicrous to say Baltimore 'won by stats'. Cleveland kicked them all over the field. They DOMINATED the Ravens in the first half. The Browns over the Ravens in the first half looked like us over the Chargers in the first half.

Baltimore has no offense----McNair should retire, he is awful----and their defense is average. Just because they once had a good D does not mean they do any more, the players have changed, (who is left from the SB team other than a washed up Ray Lewis?)

Cinncinnati simply has no defense.
These are 3 severely mediocre teams, one with no offense, one with no defense, and one with a little of both.

The AFCN looked like a great bet to send a wild card before the season. Aint happening.
As awful as Denver and SD look, they are better than these 3. Jacksonville, Tenn and Houston are a far better 2-4. The south could get both wild cards, but its harder since they play each other so many games.

I watched some but it wasn't in HD so I gave up :)

I still like Baltimore better but we'll see how it plays out. I agree that the Ravens aren't that good but I also think they had a bad game - how often does Chris McAliister allow an 80 yard TD on a blown coverage and Matt Stover miss two FG ?

I agree with what you said more than I disagree though.

Would love to see the Steelers continue to stumble.

Hope Browns do well in general so Romeo keeps his job. I like the Browns when they don't play us, lately, sort of the underdog thing. I like Willie.

See, I have the opposite viewpoint. Rather than they have a good D that had a fluke day, I think they are proving they dont have a good D. How often does McAllister get burned deep? A lot more going forward than looking back.
This just isn't the Raven D that everyone assumes is so good. Their LB position has been decimated over the years. Lewis is basically an arrogant average LB. Suggs is a pass rusher only, who could do that when you have Adalius and others still there.
DL does not impress me like it used to.
I don't think the defense compares to what it used to be, but I think Billick runs his offense like it does.
I've seen nothing more than average D, and the fact that were very good before doesnt change that to me. (They don't exactly have Bill Belichick running the D either, so a drop in talent isnt overcome by coaching)
