Jets have a lot of problems, last year was a fluke. They don't have the guns to compete in this league.

Sorry but Chad is not capable of leading a team deep into the playoffs, you have to be able to throw 20 yards, his throws have so much hangtime, they just float.

D'Brickshaw Ferguson has been a bust so far, terrible pick by Mangenius last year, lots of playmakers available to select and it has backfired picking D'Brick so far, he has shown me nothing.

Thomas Jones? He can't do anything vs a terrible Bills defense? Are you serious? Bad pickup so far for the Mangenius, he better start showing something. I am glad we got Maroney and Morris, to me they are better than Jones. Jones might be the worst starter in the AFC East, I rank Maroney, Lynch and Ronnie Brown above him.

Defense is stopping nobody, a rookie Trent Edwards is just picking them apart out there, I am starting to believe it was no coincidence that our worst defensive season was with Mangina as our DC, Pees has been much better. Revis was getting beat every play.

i love how one of the Jets fans is like "Mangini is not dumb he will make some major moves this weekend" Its interesting cause I just so happen to know what the rat is planning to do

1: Put house on Market
2: Change name to Rod Rust
3: Start calling all Highschools in the area seeing if they need a D coach
4: Start seriously thinking about going back to working at McDonalds

Those moves are pretty major

JI's nickhame for him is D'Bustashaw Ferguson. I think it fits. Mangini had a poor draft and as anotehr poster opined, they are getting outplayed on both sides of the line....

i dont know about highschool football... maybe coaching for a 7 yr old league... i think his 3-4 defensive scheme would work on that level

d'brick can only handle agile defensive lineman (ie jason taylor) and not strong defensive lineman (ie shoebel)

I think that's right. And, I'd generally pin our present and near future problems on lack of talent and depth on both lines. I'd keep Mangold and Ellis, but there really isn't anyone else that gives me hope.

Also, I think most of us have resigned ourselves to the thinking that Chad's limitation are outweighing his positives. He's accurate and intelligent and gutsy enough, but his weak arm makes his game one dimensional. He can't throw an out. And, as we saw today, people will give him stuff underneath all day long.

I'm looking toward a 5-6 win season this year, and an off-season of open seats to fill. There's some deadwood I'd like to cut.

That's a pretty good point the Pats were still a 4-3 team in 01 when we won the first Super Bowl because the personnel weren't right to play a 3-4. Maybe Rat can only copy what he's seen and cannot create.
