Why should I buy a clue? Your team was warned not to do this. The entire league was warned not to do this. The Jets tried to confiscate the tape, your cameraman refused to give it up. NFL security confiscated the team and the rest is history. Should the Jets just allow the Pats to continue cheating? Because Belichick gave Mangini his shot he should allow him to continue cheating? I don't understand, instead of you saying okay we screwed up, it's somehow the Jets fault that your coaching staff made a huge mistake which cost you a first round pick.
It's like getting caught cheating on your wife and yet your blaming it on everyone but yourself. I know it's a good defensive mechanism to try and blame it on someone else other then yourself but seriously EVERY team in the league was warned not to do this and the Patriots continued doing it. Whatever you want to say about the Jets it's still the Pats fault for being so stupid. And don't tell me they weren't really cheating, the rules say what they were doing was illegal and they would not have been doing it if they were not gaining something from it.
Seems to me BB apologized, has been punished (rather severely) by the NFL and the commissioner came out, confirmed the tapes were not used during a game, confiscated BB's library (unfairly INHO) and said it is now OVER.
Time to move on...we have, why can't you??
As for football......your team sucks, they have sucked for a really long time and after a ray of hope last year, you have returned to darkness for another half of decade it appears.
Let's look at your team: Offense: You have a QB, that is really good when healthy and is a great guy. It is too bad he cannot stay healthy. You have a couple of really good receivers and a decent, but certainly not that good running back. Your line is fair with no depth.
Defense: DB's suck (the only good one is on IR), your linebackers wouldn't even male our team and your D line is a joke. You have no depth. Special teams: You have a really good kick off returner, but so little depth, team wise that your personnel is really lacking talent or both your kick & return teams.
Let's look at New England: Can't stand to do it can you....yup, we ARE that good and we as fans, know it. We have one of, if not the best, owners, coaching staff, front office (led by Pioli) and of course head coach. Our QB is top three, I would not trade our group of RB's wit anyone, our WR's are as good as it gets. Our O line is solid with great depth. Defense: DB's - we are stacked with tremendous depth, our linebackers are as solid and experienced as there is and we have a couple of LB's that would start for any team in the NFL, best for last - our D line, show me more talent anywhere?? Special teams - we have a group of professional special teams veterans and upcoming players, our "teams" will be among the best this year in every single category.
Undeafeated, outside chance, sure - but highly unlikely, it's nearly impossible to even think about it. However, barring serious injury, this team will go on to have home field advantage throughout and will win it all, once again. Other than a couple of solid playoff challenges from most likely Indy & the other survivor - we will easly prevail this year. It is our time, once again.
SO, eat your heart out Jets fan, enjoy life with your turncoat, squealer coach and your miserable GM. Your owner deserves much better that what he is getting right now.
