I am planning to buy tickets to see my first game at Gillette. I can get relatively cheap Standing Room Only tickets.

Any advice?

How good/bad is are these SRO tickets?

Thanks,

Ethan

Best SRO views in the NFL from what I hear.

Be inside the stadium at least 90 minutes early, take a Friend, so you each can hold the spot for beer / bathroom runs. Stake out your spot early and DO NOT leave.

Go above the lower level seats - try sections 131-137.....stay behind the red line.

Thanks guys. Also, what does GA mean in regards to tickets? Or thedifference between SRO and SRO5 (or any othe rnumber)

Go over to the walkway near the banners. This will put you lower than the other suggestions.

The SRO vs. SRO5 does not matter at all. As far as I know every SRO ticket is exactly the same.

I did the SRO thing for the Bears game last year. I stood in front of the scoreboard on the lighthouse side of the field. You can stand right behind the seats, and it's a pretty good view:

I was at the same game, and instead of sitting in our 300+ seats, my buddy and I chose SRO to the left sideline in Dave's picture--we had an awesome time and were within 50 feet of pissers and beer the entire game...and had a great time messing with a couple of guys that were touring with the Bears (NYJ, NYG, NEP)...

Ha! I remember those guys.

With SRO tickets, can you get closer to the action than 300 level seats?

yes, you can, as the lower level walkways are forward of, and, well, lower than the 300s--but you have to be clever to find views that work for you--as I'm 6'1", I can usually get a decent vantage

let's just say that at the end of the game, my buddy and I decided that SRO was preferable to the 300s...

and Dave--that's funny--those were pretty cool guys if they were the same ones...it was a good natured ribbing experience for the whole game...

GA=General Admission which is another way of saying Standing Room Only.

The numbers mean nothing. I think they just have them for purposes of tracking the number of SRO tickets sold. But you can stand anywhere.
