I love this quote from Brady in King's column:

That was my same reaction when I heard the Eagles complaining about it. Screen passes is one of the best ways to pick apart a blitzing defense.

But since they can't possibly have done that because everyone says they "got caught", you'll just have to be happy that even when Bill Belichick is stupid, he's smart.

All I know if there is a perfect recipe for 16-0, this may be it:

-Talented team full of vets and emerging players
-Experienced in the playoffs/Super Bowl
-League's best coach
-League's best QB (let's not kid ourselves here)
-Ultimate "us against the world" scenario
-League talking trash about the organization

I agree, and it seemed to show that the Eagles comments were in the "not to bright" catagory.

Right?

Even we as couch potatoes know that if they are blitzing the pats, then enter Kevin Faulk, and pop a couple screens, -- even one right after another if need be. Our announcers go on and on about how the pats may be the best screen team in the league.

And these Eagles, "Duh, dey troo da ball over our heads when we was in front of dem. Dey was a-cheat'n" (spoken in the voice of George, from "Of Mice and Men.")

This whole thing just gives opposing fans an excuse for why their team lost to us, now they can believe in their moronic little minds that their mighty team didn't lost to the Pats, oh they must have been cheating in that game!

I believe the Pats lost to the Colts, and the Broncos in the playoffs, I believe we lost to the Phish and all the other teams that beat us. The only thing I don't believe is that those teams beat the Pats, I believe the Pats beat themselves, because I feel like the Pats are the only team that can beat the Pats. But that's just a fan talking.

Yes, you're right. I'm being a hothead because I think it's asinine to assume that Bill Belichick did ALL OF THIS ON PURPOSE. He "tricked" the NFL into taking a #1 pick and fining him half a million dollars, and tarnishing his reputation (to what extent we don't yet know) - all as some evil-genius ploy to stick it to the competition committee and expose the B.S. hypocrisy of the NFL and a couple of its lame-ass rules.
