No WAY can Lovie keep this guy as his starter after tonight. Time to re-usher in the Brian Griese Era. Obviously this has been well-earned, but I feel bad for Rex. He always seems to be pretty stand-up about it, and comes off as a really nice kid. It's unfortunate that he...well...apparently sucks at football.

OMG-Grossman is AWFUL!

The Solider Field crowd was chanting Griese's name during the XP attempt. I wonder how long Lovie keeps Rex as his starter...

Terry

how many chances does this guy get.

He is as inconsistent as they get.

He can throw a long ball for sure, but his head doesn't seem too be in the game. Very innaccurate alot of the time also.

That's just UGLY and Lovie shouldn't have left him in there. Poor guy. Poor crappy guy.

This prolly is the end for Rex in Chicago. I can't believe they are still playing this stiff.

Rex doing a stand-up, courageous job in the postgame P.C. - televised live on ESPN, which is a bit of overkill, IMO. Good kid. I feel really badly for him.

Hey, I have a theory! Maybe Lovie kept hearing announcers saying things like the guys covering the Pats today -- how the big difference between the Patriots and the Bills was consistency at the Head Coach and Quarterback positions, and how teams that are always changing their HC and QB are never winning organizations. And maybe he actually believed them that the causation worked that way: that keeping the same QB makes you win! Rather than that, you know, if your HC and QB win they keep their jobs.

I am so sick of that particular bit of idiocy.

The worst was listening to Madden say that going to Griese wouldn't be the 'long term answer'. Who the F cares -- just win! All Grossman needs to be is Trent Dilfer and he can't even do that!!!

yeah he's done, he probably won't ever start again in chicago(barring injury) or on any other respectable team

why not let Kyle Orton have his shot? He went 9-1(not sure if thats the exact record) as a rookie.

And Lovie say's after the game that Rex IS their QB. WTF. Is 6 INT to only 1 TD good enough for you? I mean, come on. He just isn't smart. 2 of the interceptions he threw were just aweful decisions. Throwing to a guy in tripple coverage with 1 of the DB is STARING right at you... I mean, come on.

You gotta be freakin' kidding me.

Seriously-this is too bad b/c the Bears are solid everyone else-you can just see how the REST of that team looked DEMORALIZED.

theres gotta be a mutiny at some point, the captains have to step in and tell Lovie they want him out. Its not personal he's just terrible. Hahaha and Donovan McNabb was crying that black QB's have more scrutiny put upon them? I can't remember a QB ever having as much scrutiny put upon him than Wrecks Grossman

When did it become Grossman's fault that his #1 receiver couldn't catch the ball today? If Berrian hadn't been dropping passes as if they were potatoes fresh out of the oven, Chicago might well have won that game.

I counted 2-however, not to sound too detailed, but if anything, the Bears were fortunate Patrick Crayton dropped that sure TD in the 1st half(subsequently, the Bears blocked that FG)-so if anything, Berrian's drop on their next drive all but evened everything out. Berrian's other drop was when Jacques Reeves put a hit and stripped him of the ball.
