If we have an unofficial Wes Welker fan club, I want to be the VP (Oswlek would be da Prez).

And, if it weren't already obvious, Belichick [hearts] Welker too. Reiss has the quote:

What was your reaction when Wes Welker lateraled the ball to Randy?
"I don’t think that was the best play that I’ve ever seen; let’s put it that way. When the players have the ball out there, they have to make the plays and it’s their job to do what they think is best. Being aggressive and trying to make plays is good. Being careless and not taking care of the ball is bad. I’ll talk to Wes about it and see exactly what he saw. I don’t think we want to make a habit of that. In that case, it worked out for a few extra yards. It’s hard to get on him, but we’ll try. We’ll get on him anyway."

:D

Re: I [heart] Wes Welker

That was a little bit of a risky play, and definitely not necessary, but it made my day. Welker has been all we could've expected and more. I am very happy to say I was wrong about the "overpay."

Lets not forget Welker!

Moss is getting all the attention and he deserves every bit of it. But how about Welker? This guy is great!!!!!!
And I am also very impressed by the pickup of Morris.

When Seymour and Harrison return I really think this team has a chance to be right up there with the '78 Steelers and '89 49ers. In fact, against the Chargers at the beginning it was just like watching Montana's 1989 team performing surgery.

of course, there is the matter of playing the season and winning a Super Bowl..:)

Re: I [heart] Wes Welker

Meh...I was laughing when it happened. I thought it was great. If only it went for a TD it would have been the best TD so far this season.

Re: I [heart] Wes Welker

ooops, posted at the same time! I love Welker too!!!!!!!!

Re: Lets not forget Welker!

Nobody has taken any credit away from Welker. We all know he has been great for us. Moss has only a 3 catch lead over him so far this year.

lets not forget Watson. a TD 3 straight weeks

Re: Lets not forget Welker!

Scarey to have two guys this good.

Re: I [heart] Wes Welker

LOL. Pretty much what I thought he'd say.

If I recall correctly, Denny Green or whoever was the coach then wasn't too thrilled when Moss did something similar in Minny. Although I think he was the lateraler in that case, not the lateralee.

Re: Lets not forget Welker!

It's kind of hard to forget Welker when someone else already started essentially this same thread that has been on the board for the last 15 minutes. (Look down!)

Sticking up for my boy PatSox, you weren't obnoxious about it. I guess this puts me in the category of "I was right about it", but again all you really said was "I hope I"m wrong". So, it's no big deal!! :)

Stand up guy. Let's enjoy this player, because it stunk to play against him, but now that he's ours............this is fun!!

I've rarely been happy to be wrong about something and I've rarely NOT been obnoxious about something - so it's win-win!

lighten up, Francis. He posted that thread 1 minute before I posted mine. Excuse me if I didnt see it because I was typing.

Now, can we please get back to giddiness? :)

Re: Lets not forget Welker!

Welker is a complete monster, he adds the perfect dimention that this team needed. Remember when the Fin fans were all excited about the Welker trade? Well it turns out once again that Pioli and Belichick know exactly what they are doing, meanwhile the Dolphins spend a #9 pick on a punt returner and Welker's replacement who has done nothing through 3 games, he has 1 total catch.

You said it. And Welker may be the best punt returner we've ever had. Thanks to the Fish Benevolent Society for Welker and Morris. Let us know when you're ready to donate Jason to us.

Gayest thread title ever. :D

looked to me like moss had his hands out offering to take it and welker obliged. i don't thing that's something we'll see again but it was funny.

The 'love' for The Wanker? Probably 'cause folks kinda think those tiny Hobbits are sorta cute.

From BB's post-game press conference, I think he was too happy about it and mentioned something according to Reiss IIRC about discussing it with him tomorrow.....
