1) Brady is seriously way more efficient than anytime I've ever played a freakin' video game on Pro or less level. This is ridiculous. It's unbelievably easy. I don't know what's up with the OL play - just more time over the years of playing together maybe? - but it has been OUTSTANDING.

2) Welker and the return game really helped out today. Field position was much improved. Apparently return teams were getting killed in practice this week. Looks like they responded.

3) Jarvis - another sack. Richard Who?

4) Bills have the worst luck - Poluszny going down is brutal and seemed to really affect their D.

5) Welker flipping the ball to Randy - love it. And little things like that (and the stupid move AGAIN of putting Seau in as a FB) keep the guys loose and happy. Love seeing Moss and Belichick smiling (again) on the sideline together.

6) Would like to see Lo-Mar not get vultured on his goal-line carries - but that's my "fantasy" self talking.

7) The Pats O came out flat, didn't really wake up until the 2nd quarter and still covered an ENORMOUS spread. They also scored 38 and left AT LEAST 6 points on the field (Brady "fumble" and the 4 run-into-the-line carries at the end).

8) Hobbs did a nice job in coverage today. Secondary looked terrific again.

9) Mel Mitchell - helluva job on S/Ts today, really showed up.

10) One (or two) loooooooong TD drives each game, which is the slightest of concerns, but still a dominant D. Next week will tell us a LOT about this team. One of the scary games on the schedule.

Yep...wait didn't you call Mel Mitchell garbage yesterday?

Other than that, I agree.

I don't think so. I'm a fan of his on S/T's. I would call Tory James garbage, but I don't think I gave Mitchell that label.

they have played well but i would like them to do more against a decent team , we beat a 1-2 jets, 0-3 bills and a 2-1 chargers.
none of the teams have really challenged our secondary.
Again , we are a good team but need to keep in perspective the competition.
Next week will be a big test for our defense.

I agree that next week is a HUGE test and I disagree that the chargers are 2-1.

Oh, also - the Pats got (sort of) F'd on the Brady fumble (I thought his knee was down) and the OBVIOUS safety that was inexcusably not called upon review. Pats did a good job of winning (by 31) anyway.

about #2, i dont think its just being better than previous weeks. Moorman had a 75 yarder and then a 55 or so yarder. the more room we have in front, the longer the return will be.

Unfortunately I could not view the game but whether or not KB fumbled the ball he may be the biggest reason for the improved pass protection.

Next week is a challenge?
Do you guys not remember what happened when we played Cinci last year? AND what happened when cinci played the Browns last week? right

It was TB fumbling on a QB sneak

....

Don't knock him.
Best backup DL in the league, #93

I'm surprised
that someone on the staff thinks that putting two defensive stalwarts into the power package
is better than putting two
offensive stalwarts in there.
Sure hope this is just a game-within-the-game for garbage time (however early).

last yr is last yr...the start of today's game was equally unpredicted..

i dont think our front got enough pressure today. against a team like Bills..we should've wrecked havoc but we didnt. Green is a great player imo..but Seymour is better..and i dont see many nfl DL who are better than Richard.

The Bills put a lot of money into that OL this off-season. They weren't too shabby. I'm going to hope we get more pressure next week, but Cincy's got a solid OL, as well.

One of the few players better than Seymour is Ty Warren. Green's not as good, but he's up there. I'd take him over most starters on any other squad.

Another aspect of today - a HUGE aspect, which I can't believe I didn't include in my initial post - is NO INJURIES. Hope we can keep it up. (If I'm wrong, please list the injuries here.)

Good stuff PS23. I agree completely about the the DBs. Because they are playing so well, I'm less nervous about Cinncy. Sure, it'd be nice to have Richard and Rodney against them, but their playing well without them.
