Reasons to worry about the Bills game

They *have* to keep more people back in coverage this year, that frees someone up to slide over and block him I am sure that the Pats will line up Kyle Brady on that side.

They suck, cant sugar coat it.

The Bills have a young team without a lot of veteran leadership. That doesn't mean they suck. Also, they've been decimated by injuries. Not just Everett. But other key players they were counting on.

It was a blowout, those situations arise when you win by a field goal in the last minutes.

two offences without a 6 foot 5 receiver that can jump and drops nothing.

This is pretty arrogant talk, especially considering that until this year, the Pats never had a receiver over 6'. And the Broncos top two receivers are 6'3 and 6'4 respectively. Both of those teams also have a great running game.

that doesnt get them better players

still will have loseman throwing to him

Losman isn't a bad QB so I don't understand why you think this would be a bad thing.

I think Losman is a very bad QB.
I also agree that Bills are a bad team. I do not see what they do well. Losman is bad, they have a rookie RB and a questionable OL. They have been 'so-so' on defense the last few years, but have lost all of their best defensive players, and I'm not a big fan of who they have replaced them with.
I see a 4-12 or so team. Thats a team that sucks in my book.

I have no clue why you think Losman isnt a bad QB. What is it about him you think isnt bad?

Lee Evans?

Losman was ungodly terrible in 2005, but he did improve to not too good last year. I haven't seen him play this year, but he certainly wasn't "very bad" last year.

Now that teams have caught on to stopping Evans, we shall see just how much of it was LP.

I say do the same thing we did to the chargers: 3 tight end sets with Moss as the lone receiver. Either we destroy them with the moss matchup if they protect the run, or we destroy them with the run if they try to double or even triple team moss.

I agree. End the game before the 4th quarter and put the backups in. Let everybody know that this is a different Patriots team that will not let up. Period.

It's a classic trap game and I know the Pats won't be looking past it like so many fans seem to be.

1. Light struggles, to put it mildly, with Schobel. The only thing that can derail this juggernaut is an injury to you know who. Let it not be this week, O Lord.

2. The Bills are extremely young, but they have a solid coach and alot of pluck. They're young, dumb and full of &$% and it's so early in the year they don't realize they have no chance. It usually takes about 9 weeks for reality to sink in on even the worst teams. The Bills historically play well in Foxboro, especially the 1st matchup of the year vs. the Pats.

3. The Pats are coming off an emotional high, an intense week with playoff caliber pressure and may feel a let down; it's human nature to experience peeks and valleys early before the rhythm of the season settles in. Also the home crowd may go back to being subpar: the bright lights are off, the scandal is a fading memory and a less than inspiring opponent is on the docket.

4. The Bills' red zone D has been top notch, stifling the Broncos and Steelers, two offenses with excellent weaponry.

5. The Kevin Everett tragedy, and now triumph, understandably weighed on the Buffalo squad and may have affected their preparations, contributing a bit to last week's blowout in Pittsburgh. This week, with news of Kevin's expected recovery, the Bills should be more focused, less distracted.

6. Lee Evans, IMO, is a top 10 receiver in the league. He has historically been shut down during games vs the Pats. This is a consequence of his erratic QB and lack of supporting cast. Also, Evans also has done almost noithing, zilch, the first 2 games of the year. It's about time a player of Evans' quality showed a little something, so the bill may come due this Sunday.

With all those concerns in mind, I still take the Pats +16. Final: Pats 30 Bills 13.

1) Schobel is one player...who won't see the other side of the line of scrimmage.

2) Young blah blah.. nonsense
Don't realize how bad they are yet.. blah blah.. they're 0-2 they know just how bad they are and how bad they're going to be.

3) Emotional highs/lows.. reaching.. more nonsense.

4) Not to sound like a colts fan but I just don't see our offense being stopped. We have too many weapons.

5) Although sad. This is nonsense.

6) We have 4 receivers better than him.

Bills are going to get crushed. Don't try to feel sorry for them.

I think that Pony is reaching on some of his concerns, but Evans is the real deal. Not much surrounds him, but he is excellent.

Reasons to be cheerful part 3,

1, 2, 3

Tommy pass to Randy, another run by Sammy,
AD packs a whammy and gloats
Welker in a curl, Youboty wants to hurl,
Colvin grabs a pass that Losman floats

(And at this time, the chorus going through Losman's head):
Why don't you get back into bed,
Why don't you get back into bed,
Why don't you get back into bed,
Why don't you get back into bed,
Why don't you get back into bed,
Why don't you get back into bed . . .

With sincere apologies to Ian Dury, may he rest in peace.

Answer to Schobel worries: Kyle Brady

1st post here, hello eveyone! The reason I don't worry is because i know BB and the Pats never look past any team.....ever. They are such a well prepared team every week.

Welcome to the board. You're right, they are one of the, if not the, best prepared teams in the league.

Make yourself at home, there are lots of opinions here and a lot of passion for the Pats.

I worry about every game. Once we believe all the hype, we'll be in trouble.

From Monday through Saturday I'm 100% positive we will win every week. Come Sunday I let all the doubts creep and start worrying a little.

I've been thinking about this too, the insane emotion of the last game, the on-paper lack of talent for the bills, could be a letdown. A surprisingly close game would not surprise me at all. I'm still giving Schobel 1 or 2 sacks, he's gonna get him, he ALWAYS does. But even if the pats went in with no emotion, how on earth do they stop Tom Brady and the offense. The only way they can do that is if our o-line has a complete breakdown. Hopefully they will stand tall and keep Tommy clean on Sunday.

And always remember, no matter how bad any NFL team is... they are still an NFL team filled with NFL players. Any given sunday. Good luck to BB with whatever he decides to make the players believe the bills hype he's been feeding em.
