What's up with Zolak's eye?

I have been wondering this for the last few years. Scott Zolak's right eye looks sunken in and half closed. Anybody know what happened to it?

I know its probably not PC to talk about and I mean no disrespect or hope not to offend anyone but I have noticed this as well. I remember when I first saw Zolak on TV there was nothing out of the ordinary. Then a few years ago it was quite noticeable. However, over the past couple of years it has gotten a lot better.

I really didn't mean any disrespect, I was just wondering. I din't hear anything about a condition and I know that he didn't end his career with an injury that would have explained it.

Because it is a personal question that has nothing to do with anything, and shows a lack of sensitivity. Most people have some sort of obvious physical shortcoming, only 3-year-olds and adults of similar mentality wonder aloud about them. This thread is moronic.

My daughter has a ptosis of one eye. Ptosis is basically a "droopy eyelid" and can be caused in several ways (she had hers from birth). We were concerned that she would be teased when she went to school. But that hasn't happened. The kids always ask about it and, when it's explained, that's that. I find that healthy and not offensive.

Well said. Kids just ask, get their answer, and then go play and have fun. Only as they grow into teens and then adults do they stop asking and start snickering behind backs or mumbling at the water cooler.

Yes one my cousins has the same. He is 2 years younger than me so we at times are in the same middle and high school. He never got teased because as soon as someone asked he told them exactly why his eye looks that way. No one ever gave him crap about it.

Your point is well taken Mike, but I'd hope that most adults would be mature enough to avoid pointing things like this out about people in public Internet forums. My sense from the original poster is he was thinking, "Zolak looks weird -- what's wrong with him?" like a schoolmate might ask your daughter about her appearance. Kids haven't developed the sensitivity to get beyond such things whereas adults normally take them in stride. Zolak either has ptosis, strabismus (lazy eye) or a light-sensitivity problem that causes him to squint. It's not a gross disfigurement and he's a handsome guy. Honestly, what difference does it make to anyone?

so when the physical features of a guy on TV changes I am being insensitive wondering what happened? I did not make fun of him, I just implied it looks like a lazy eye, which a different poster corrected me and made his Internet prognosis. that is fine,

but to call someone a 3 year old or say they have the mentality of one just shows it is you sir who have an issue with this, if like the kids in school you just answered it instead of accusing people of piling on, this thread would have run it's course...... but no you have to come out with gun ablaze, the sheriff in this lil' town protecting Zo.

It's not wrong to ask, and I'm sure this wasn't meant to be derogatory. Besides, I don't think Zol's feelings will be hurt by a thread he's never going to read in the first place.
