Toughie. Maybe Crennel but he and Mangini have seemed very buddy buddy. Shanahan I could see.

But I'm going with Mike Nolan. Coaches' son, knows how the coaching game is played. Has mentioned the Patriots as a guide to his organization.

Every jackass we've had to listen to for the last week or so should be forced to read that article, specifically the last paragraph. King sure changed his tune in a hurry.

John Gruden,Shanahan,Coughlin or Billick

I wouldn't rule out former Patriots assistant Rob Ryan providing some strong words

I think as more and more light is shed on the various rules that NFL coaches and GMs violate routinely, Belichick's violation of the video rule will look less and less significant.

However for those who want to label him a "cheat" then they have to label Manjudas both a "rat" and a "cheat".

I do know that Mike Tannenbaum isn't looking forward to Manjudas telling the world about all the times he violated the no tampering rule, that's for sure.

This would be a more fun game if someone knew the answer

Yeah, we'll never know. If I only had one choice though, it'd be Shanahan. Buddies with Belichick, old school guy, probably doesn't think the camera stuff is that big a deal. I'll go with him. I don't think it's Billick.

King says it's a head coach.

Who it definitely is not:

Mangini (heh)
Dungy (not this blogger)

Gruden, IMHO

Gruden, IMHO

I agree with this Belichick and Gruden are reportedly good friends(read Patriot Reign). I've read were Bill introduced him to Bon Jovi (Grudens favorite band).

I'd totally unsurprised if it was Gruden. It sounds like something he'd say and exactly how he'd say it. Pair that with his friendship with Belichick and it's a pretty solid case.

I doubt it was Romeo he comes off as a much nicer guy than that and I think he is to close to make a comment like that. And Billick already made his statement by calling the jets Cheaters. I like someones guess of Gruden.

Gruden, Gruden, Gruden.

Go Chuckie!:rocker:

The comment definitely sounds like Gruden.

From the get go, the first time I heard that quote I thought it was Brian Billick, even before the Sunday game.

All the guesses so far seem very reasonable. Here's one longshot possibility...

How about **** Jauron. He's old school and always struck me as a straight-forward guy for whom loyalty means something. I could hear the words coming from his mouth.

I looked through the list of coaches, and there are about 10 solid possibilities. If I had to vote, it'd be Billick.

whose the former asst who signed a prime free agent 3 days into free agency? any deductions?

King hasn't changed his tune; not when he says cameragate does "take some shine off those three Super Bowl wins." King ought to make darn certain the Pats did anything illegal to prepare for, or during those SB's, before defaming them this way. He's lowering the very media standards he complains about regularly...
