LMAO. Bill is so awesome.

Watch the presser.....LOL. Disdain is the word that best describes BB's reaction.

He's such a heartless bastard!!! How dare he offer his thoughts and prayers to a player and his family and friends to start a press conference!!!

Oh, sorry I fell into Felger mode.

Same thing happened with the press in 2002, when SB defending Pats rolled over Steelers and Jets to go 2-0. The undefeated talk began, but then they had trouble stopping the run v. KC in a close win, got hammered repeatedly for the rest of the year and finished 9-7 out of the playoffs.
No undefeated talk allowed!

Will any team ever have a 16-0 season? Once you've clinched your place in the playoffs you're not going to kill your starters for a perfect season.

Nice point. Also, who asked this question? After only two games, if I were a reporter covering BB I would view such an inane question as an invitation to get smacked down. It's no wonder BB has no respect for the media....if you put cardboard cutouts in a room instead of reporters, the IQ level in the room would instantly rise.

Yes, you will. I'm sure Belichick would not let up when we are 13-0 or 14-0. He will push it. Not in order to finish undefeated, but to keep the team on edge.

Remember, this team had a winning streak over 20 games long. There is no, Lose Now, Win the Super Bowl mentality here.

I think he would push the envelope because of his appreciation for history and it would be cool to stick it to Don Shula...

Realistically though, if they ever got to 13, the last 3 are Jets, Dolphins and Giants.

I can't forget it. I have a t-shirt with all 21 games printed on the back. But, 21 straight over 2 seasons is very different than all 16 reg season games in a row. It would be great but, no matter what I don't see the Pats going 16-0.

I see your point, but there is no comparison here. That team had no DL, injured WRs for most of the year, poor running game, awful safety play and a not nearly as good Tom Brady.

The 2007 NE Patriots would destroy the 2002 team 45-3.

By halftime.

In 2004 NE had clinched the #2 seed the week before, but still played the starters into the 4th quarter. In 2003 They played the starters into the 4th quarter despite having clinched the #1 seed and having a 31-0 lead.

I seriously doubt BB would do anything different than he normally does.

Unless that's the quote you wanted, say if you were doing a piece on how focused Belichick is.

I guess if that's the angle you were going for. I actually expected the question to be asked at some point but NOT after the second game!

So if we're 13-0 then we're pretty much guaranteed at least a 14-0 season.

if the pats go 13-0 by week 14, i dont see him taking the Jets lightly.

I see everyone's point, but as a Patriots fan I have to focus on 3-0 :rocker:
