this place has turned into a media update forum, please lets stop the craziness, we have turned the idiot scribes into heroes, posting when they are on the air, posting what they are saying, linking every story, posting radio interviews, please who cares what these knumbskulls say, is it really going to change anything that has happenned or will happen no!!!! lets all stick to the football and do what the pats are doing moving on and thinking about the bills

could there be a separate section added to site for this stuff..and only football here?

BUMP

Under the present climate, a post on every little press clipping will squeeze all football talk off the board. If no complaints, I'm going to post a "daily cameragate clippings" thread and ask that everything be dumped there.

I agree, I'm tired of all of this Woodward and Bernstein bull.

No offense, but I love those postings, and info updates, and the providing of the links. I don't have time to stay on top of that stuff myself. I rely on that ikind of info. It's great stuff! I'm guessing many agree with me.

great...yes make a separate thread, probably should sticky it

It's not the posting itself, which is great. It's the fact that each one gets a separate thread, and since there's such a storm of them you can't find anything else on the board. I've attempted to create a single daily thread for the purpose, which should make it all even quicker to find and track:

I have to agree I think it's very useful to have the media items posted. If you want to give that daily media thread a try though, I think that might be a good idea.

To be honest, I think that all these threads wouldn't be mad eif people didn't want to talk about it. If people want to start talking about football again, start talking about football! :D

Wonderful idea! The only winners have been the Media in this whole cameragate hysteria. I've gotten to the point where as soon as I see the words "unnamed sources" I stop reading/listening!

I have to agree, and to go a bit further, I perfer them in seperate threads. It is football stuff.

Sure - get them off of this section, but, rather than a sticky that will grow to hundreds of posts in a single thread........a separate section would enable each breaking piece of news to be a post of it's own for quicker reference.

Please discuss....I do not have time to go through a thread with hundreds of replys..am I alone??

I'd like that option too, but have no clue how big a deal it would be to arrange.

Yeah, with all the barrage of talk on TV and articles in print, we are getting innudated with new stories. Maybe break it down by categories like "Mangini is a rat related press", "Player, coach, or Analyst showing support", "Player, coach, or Analyst trashing the Pats", etc. These threads will still get long, but at least people can look for articles that are of interest to them.

I'm for that too. Ian would be the person who could establish a separate "Media Update Forum".

I strongly disagree with the folks who don't want anyone posting anymore media coverage whatsoever. If you want to live in a dark cave, watching game film of the Buffalo Bills with Ernie Adams, be my guest. But this is a fansite that is unmatched on the web in getting the info out to the fans of the Patriots. The fans here are the greatest resource in getting the info, etc. up ASAP. Even Reiss, Curran, Manza-Young, Tomase, etc. have publicly credited the posters of this site as being the source where they originally found new or attributed info.

I, and thousands of others come HERE with the expectation that this is the place to be to get the latest and most time sensitive info possible-- good, bad or Shaughnessian (meaning useless).

This is just going to be hell on the mods for a few days because people will still post on this forum, half the time some don't even look 5 slots down and see there is the same thread already before posting. It seems like by the time the mods keep cleaning it up and people catch on the stories will have died down (hopefully). The one thread will be harder then just scrolling through the forum. Like has been said good articles will be lost in the responses to ealier article and so on and on.

"Going to be"????????

Have you been here the past nine days???? ;)

It is no longer amusing to watch half the fans here, as well as one mod, act like hysterical 16 year olds.

Then again, it never was that amusing in the first place.

I think that the one combo thread should be strictly on the topic of angst driven cameragate conspiracy theories and related nonsense, like Mangina topics.

I don't see a problem with actual football news related media threads, since that is a great feature of this site.

But from here on out, I think all cameragate related stuff should be either deleted or stuck in one thread.

Leave the real news stories as seperate threads because they still are a great part of this site. But cameragate and all the shrill theories that come with it have outworn it's welcome, IMO.

You're right it IS football stuff. I thought this was Patsfans.com, not YouPostWhatWeTellYouToPost.com, or IfYouWantToReadSomethingRelatedToTheTeamButItsMediaRelatedYouHaveToGoToASeparateStickyAndSearchTroughEachThread.com

I already checked out the Sticky, and it's already a clusterF.

One of the best parts of this site was easy and quick access to a variety Patriots news. This makes it less easy. This makes it less quick.

Thanks for the backup!

Yeah, I'm with you here. I also think other less visted forum could be merged if having too many sections is a concern. All it would take would be getting used to the new layout by the posters. And maybe figure out which section to place all the "I've been banned by xxx" posts also.
