None other than Drew "Next Question" Rosenhaus was on ESPNews' Hot List this evening and the subject of Belichick and the camera came up. I gotta say the man made a lot of sense... From memory....

- He strongly emphasized the severity of the punishment. Basically he said "I've brokered deals between teams where they would refuse to give up a seventh round draft pick and you're going to take away a first from the Patriots? That's unprecedented in the history of the NFL."

- The other guy he was debating really wanted a Belichick suspension, but Rosenhaus was opposed to that. Rosenhaus also shot down the ridiculous comparison to Wade Wilson people like to make.

- He complimented Belichick as a coach but also added "Bottom line is that it comes down to the players on the field to make the plays."

I'll tell ya this... when I go pro, I will be hiring Rosenhaus as my agent..!! :D

IIRC, BB has only said good things about Drew R in the past. He says he is one of the better agents.

IMO, they are two sides of the same coin -- both willing to put in the time & effort to be the best they are at what they do, and I think there is a mutual admiration/respect there.

If I'm not mistaken, the other guys was a women's tennis coach from Syracuse. WTF.

I think you're right and I gotta tell ya I was a bit confused wondering what the connection was there...

the other guy wasn't the coach. He's just a syracuse guy.

I believe the quote from Rosenhaus was I'd rather watch your syracuse women's tennis team rather than watch the NHL

Isn't he Stallworth's agent?

And Vince and Meriwether (the U connection).

Hard to believe he said that, but what he says is true.
A first round draft pick is a HUGE penalty

I believe he is the agent of Stallworth, Wilfork, and Izzo.

Plus Mangini has beef with him after Rosenhaus released info about the severity of the calf injury to Thomas Jones. Mangini was furious.

what is he going do do come out and blast rosenhaus and call him a jerk? of course he has nice things to say about an agent.

BB has stated in the past that DR is one of the more knowledgeable agents about the game of football. BB claims that DR takes the time to know the team he is trying to sell his player to. However, he does want to make sure the team is the right fit for the player he represents.

Hes a big shot, but a damn good agent IMO.

I agree he's a good agent... his problem was his most newsworthy client over the past few year, T.O., is an insufferable jack*ss.

Rosenhaus is to agents what Belichick is to coaches.

No one said DR was an angel. TOs money is green just like the other guy's.
