It's been over a week since the Patriots have been caught videotaping vs the Jets. We have heard to know end that the Pats cheated and should have an * next to all the SB wins. Fans, former players (Hines Ward, Bettis) coaches (Fisher, Dungy) and media members have come out of the woodwork bashing what the Pats have done in regards to taping the opposition.

For the "Love of God" can a former coach or player with some intelligence please come forward and try to explain how and what we saw on the videotape be the advantage on gameday.

Some of these people have got to be the simplist people alive. It is starting to sound to me like this U-Tube video is reality instead of a spoof

Your telling me know one else is interested in an in depth analysis as to how the tape we all saw can help a team on Sundays....because if its been talked about I haven't seen it. Just....the Pats cheated!

My favorite thing I heard about all of this is when FOX showed the tape and then Jimmy Johnson said something like "Thats exactly how I was tought how to do it." I am paraphrasing but thats exactly what I think a majority of LONG TERM coaches and NFL personel think anout the situation. Advanced scouting is how things have been done for years. RG just wants this stuff to stop which is fair. However it sucks that the Pats had to be made the example. You can bet that the next team to get busted for something/anything at all that constitutes as a "rules violation" is going to get nailed to the wall and RG is going to say "See, I did that to the Patriots as a warning, now your ***** is mine!"

We know just about every team does what the Pats have done....using binoculars and taking notes is most likely the most popular way...but, what is the rest of the PROCESS? What is the next step taken to benefit the team on the field.....either that day, or for future games. It's just crazy to me no one has come forth with an in depth analysis.

I think you are on to something here. Yes the loss of the first round pick is harsh, but it's not going to set the team back and the Pats are going to remain competitive. And Kraft is clearly one of the most influential owners. The league is not going to do anything to turn Bob Kraft into Al Davis. Goddell is making and example of the Pats in part becuase they can handle it. And like somebody else pointed out the money saved on the lost first round pick is going to go towards signing a free agent. The penalty looks a lot worse than it is. And trust me - BB is not paying that fine. Bob Kraft wrote both checks.
