This is the guy former Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson accused of "playing God" with his health, urging him to play with concussions, resulting in a 34-year-old who is bedridden and addicted to drugs. Belichick is the guy who has been accused of breaking up a marriage by showering the wife of a New Jersey man with gifts and even a $2.2 million home. This is the guy who forcefully shoved a cameraman, repeatedly blows off protégé Eric Mangini and in recent years has acquired known scumbags (Corey Dillon, Johnathan Sullivan), drug cheats (Sammy Morris, Donte' Stallworth) and idiots (Randy Moss).

He calls Stallworth a "drug cheat"? I thought Donte got in trouble for smokin' a little weed? That's drugs but how is he a "drug cheat"?

Incidently, it was his first offense, it happened well over two years ago, he didn't get suspended, and he hasn't had a second offense since.

And what did Johnathan Sullivan do to be a scumbag? He was a lazy underachiver, but I don't remember him ever doing anything wrong. He also used the Ted Johnson information which much of was retracted by Johnson. And then he uses tabloid fodder in the New York press. This guy has no credibility.

I hope you're being ironic. Belichick apologized twice on successive days, to just about anybody he could apologize to. This is the part that annoys me, not this loser's unimportant opinion of the matter -- after all, there's plenty of those to go around lately -- but the fact that he decided to make up facts (or non-facts, as the case may be,) to bolster said unimportant opinion.

Nothing against Charlie, of course, but I far prefer our "alien" and "subhuman" coach to Weiss.

Everybody wants to play "woulda coulda shoulda" right now. This season is 1/8 over. Thus far it seems that this season will pretty well erase any reasonable doubt about Belichik's coaching resume.

If people want to believe in the power of a magical asterisk, they can feel free. And they can discuss this rot for the next twenty years for all I care... those trophies are just the beginning. What are going to do about the next three Lombardis?
