Trying to move from Camera-Gate, what do you think about re-signing Randy Moss and what it will take? I believe he only has a 1 year contract with the team, and he looks terrific. I can see this as something similar to what Corey Dillon did, but even better.

I'm thinking 3 year extension, $10mil signing bonus, $5mil each year, so $25mil contract total. (Does not include the current year.)

8mil/year. Sounds good to me. I'd make it 2 years & not 3 though.

I want him to play the whole season before we re-sign him, why change anything the way it is going now? He is playing like a beast, if playing for a contract next season is having something to do with it, don't take away that incentive.

I just want to see mmmm....2 or so more games before I create an opinion on this. But damn he looks awesome so far.

I know Brady will always spread the ball around (primarily to get everyone involved into the offense, often, even the 4th and 5th options on passing plays) but I am really starting to think that on any play, there really is no way to stop Randy Moss. He can literaly get open or go deep at will. Its almost unfair to the other defenses. I can see Tom wanting to constantly look for him, but will restrain himself so that once again, he will keep everyone involved in the offense......

at some point, if he hasn't already, he will come to the conclusion and realization that he doesn't want to play anywhere else and that he has found his home...hopefully. That can make for a pretty good deal on the Patriots end.

I just friken love how Moss is just fitting in perfectly but remeber guys it's only been 2 games, I say we wait until at least the post season to give out any extensions...

And Brady is in love with him...you know what I mean. I never saw Brady THAT PUMPED last year when he threw TDs. He sprinted all the way to the endzone to jump on Randy.

Hey - I would if I could. The skills are all there, as is the hard work - albeit in a contract year.

But what Randy wants is a mega contract - probably for longer than 3 years I'm guessing.

So is that a good enough trade off to have him get guaranteed cash rather than risk injury? Who knows... but I'm expecting Moss plays out this season, knowing he's part of something very special here - and puts himself out to the highest bidder in free agency.

reason we signed moss to 1 is not because talent. its to see if he can stay out of trouble and not make a scene (negative one that is)

I'm pretty sure Moss is already fairly rich. So I can't see that he is really going to try to hire himself again to the team with the biggest checkbook.

What I do think is going to happen is that he is going to be rejuvinated and may very well be a key part of a championship team and isn't that why he took a massive pay-cut to come here to begin with?

I'm sure the Pats are going to reward him with a nice contract, but like all great players that come here, it becomes less about the money and more about championships......legitimizing thier sacrafice of leaving skin and blood all over the fields of the NFL.

Like most superstar athletes, Moss's bank account doesn't necessarily grow because of a huge contract, but rather because of endorsements and other things, which are usually worth exponentially more than salary and bonus combined.

Hopefully Moss loves being the Rice to Brady's Montana and stays here for a few more years at a fairly low cap number, like he chose to this year.

I was wondering if Randy Moss has already publicly stated that Tom Brady is the best QB he has ever played with yet.......If not, I don't think it will take much longer even though he and Culpepper put up some great seasons for the Vikings.

But your point of Moss being Rice to Brady's Montana is dead on right...

If Randy continues his awesome performance through the year, the Pats will be offering better than Deion Branch money.
Well maybe not but I think they will work things out to keep Randy because I believe Randy wants to stay.

Moss stated before he even joined the Pats that he Believed Tom was the greatest QB in the league right now :)
