Madden was biggest ******* cheat in the game. Now he sits in judgment. God-damnit, I wish I lived closer so I could watch the game live...

Comments on NBC coverage?

I thought they should have had more crowd shots etc.
A bit more "atmosphere' would have been nice.

Coverage was good. I thought Madden's very level headed opinion of the whole tape issue was really good. It was nice to hear the voice of reason from someone in the media.

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

Madden actually wasn't too annoying.

As always however, NBC has the worst HD feed of all the networks. What a choppy mess.

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

Andrea Kramer yapping about the cameragate and going on about how Norv Turner was taking precautions and that the Jets were going to continue to accuse the Pats made me sick.

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

i have a comment.NBC sucks.there news coverage sucks there sports coverage sucks .they suck.

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

I do like NBC's coverage, and I also like the music it was kind of drama like... But Chris Collingstworth and Jerome the Bust Bettis could pound sand...

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

I have a few issues with NBC:

1) Did anyone see the Nixon photo and the comparison of this incident to Watergate? That had to be the most irresponsible message I've seen in a long time. I expect some will say it was done "tongue-in-cheek," but that's BS. Perceptions are cemented and many reach conclusions subliminal or not when viewing messages like that. Consider that it's sent to millions of viewers. To NBC, though it may be hard for you to separate the two, Belichick did not break the law.

2) Peter King, an employee of NBC, spent a lot of words writing about how his colleagues felt. Yet, he upbraided Howie Long of Fox for implying that many were "laying in the weeds" and out to get Belichick. Right, Peter, you're paid by NBC. Leave the potential conflict of interest charges alone and don't take sides. In addition, Jimmy Johnson of Fox indicated that he was taught to take video of opponents signal calling with the same method. Interesting that NBC has taken a holier-than-thou stance, as Costas was one who criticized BB when Costas perceived he snubbed Manning after the AFC Championship game last season. I think we've got a group of negative BB folks at NBC.

3) Andrea Kramer talking about unfounded charges of wiring players and jamming frequencies is more of the same. Journalism 101 dictates that anecdotal information must be identified as just that. She implied there was solid evidence when in reality, I've heard nothing but anecdotal information from opponents' officials. This is hardly surprising or something to take seriously when the teams you've been beating over the last seven years come out in an attempt to paint a negative picture. The media, and NBC in this case, is all over this stuff. They are sharks swimming up a blood trail.

BB likes some people from each station

NBC- Madden/ Michaels

Espn - Boomer Berman/ and Now Keyshawn

Fox- Jimmy Johnson

Cbs- Nantz/ Simms/Gumbal/Esiason

The rest of the media , I think he will tell them to go pound sand...

This was the Network trying so hard to keep the story alive, very annoying. I thought the second camera with radio link to the defensive lineman was a joke, if it happened, you'll never prove it, move along !!

Talk about sour grapes. The Bus looked like a little baby. Not the first game, but the second AFC for sure, he could tell something was up. Ya, you were loosing and Hines was a crybaby. I suspect Hines will have to join a support group after the Dec 12th game. I thought Collingsworth was going to cry when he couldn't get everyone to see it his way. After being asked about the performance of the Patriots, he goes off on how the Chargers weren't ready, that's why this happened.

Judging by the team reaction to last weeks media joke, you'd think everyone that wants the Pats to loose would just shutup and cross their fingers. Questioning the integrity of the coach and team is not wise at this point

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

HORRIBLE coverge.

Madden was fine. But the ENTIRE halftime show was about the Pats scandal, not ONCE did they mention the 24-0 game at hand.

Then that ugly female side reporter (Aren't they supposed to be good looking, if not...get a man) who kept telling us about the Jets wanting further investigation.

So yeah it seemed like they wanted to rain on our parade of domination by talking about the scandal any chance they could.

It made me laugh. Norv is paranoid and the Jets can't handle the fact that they just suck...

It'll be interesting to see if anything comes of this additional inquiry, I doubt there is anything more to find.

Re: Comments on NBC coverage?

Pretty good,
MAdden had good reasonable comments on the whole issue, and was funny at times.

I also liked that now you saw more of the sidelines like those still pic machines.
It is something you normally do not see I liked that.

By the way was it just me or were camera and sound focused allot on Brady? I mean you could clearly hear what he was saying at times.

Anyways decent-good coverage.

Ya, come to think of it, her face did annoy me. I would have been more receptive too Goodell's wife doing the reporting. You never know, she could slip again and say something like " Looks like Bill showed the Jets he's a better **** then theirs, Opps, I mean coach !"

I was annoyed by the music. It was the theme music "Secret Agent Man". Later I did appreciate the humor.

I second that!

Madden was pretty good tonight. Good enough so that I didn't have to mute the TV.

Kramer annoys me. At least get a young hot female reporter. Screw this old hag.

My girlfriend reached a milestone in her education about football last night when she turned to me and said, "What the f*** is John Madden talking about ?"

N.S.B. for the win. I loathe her. There's better talent on The View than Kramer. She's only there for the guys that watch football with "the guys" on Sunday night. You know, the guys that play beer-pong and funnel Sparks.
