From BB's comments, you all did one HELLUVA JOB. BOUT FRIGGIN TIME!!!!!

I guess we need MORE controversy every week to get the crowd into the game..... umm.. well.. Maybe not.... :D

helluva job to the folks lucky enough to be there. ESPECIALLY in regards to letting Belichick hear it.

i was there and the fans were great!!!

Man I wish I was there. Seeing every body in the stadium jumping up and going nuts on my tv screen when Randy scored a TD...damn I wish I was there!

PROUD to be a Pats fan tonight and PROUD of my fellow fans knowing how to pick a guy up (BB) that has been so cruelly treated this week.......

Being there was extra extra special tonight.

Say all you want - we'll just win.

Good night!! and oh ya...LIGHTS OUT!!

I was there too. It was great when they came on the field for warmups. They had BB on the Jumbotrons and the crowd went ballistic. He looked up and waved to the crowd.

But the absolute best was seeing the players going over and hugging Bill when they put Gutierrez in. That was really touching.

Not the most exciting game I've been to in foxboro but definately the most satisfying win in all my trips

It was awesome. A playoff atmosphere.

Shawn Phillips is an a**hole, by the way.

Why is Phillips an A**HOLE? Other than his saying after the play-off loss that he hates the Pats and couldn't wait to stomp them in this game...

He was a NON-Factor.

With the Chargers getting smoked, he grabbed a seat on the bench, and was "chillin'". Some of the fans were giving him crap, and he started pretending to "count his money" and was talking smack about how rich he is. Basically, who cares if you suck, as long as you get paid.

WOW... That is pretty friggin bad. I hope someone yelled to him that it was no wonder the Chargers were losing with lousy attitudes like that...

I told him he could buy a Super Bowl ring on EBAY with all his cash. It's the only way he'll ever get one.

Perfect response for an arrogant piece of garbage like Phillips...

Did he have a reply?

He just kept "counting" and laughing to a Chargers staff guy about how rich he was.

He's trash.

Glad to hear from people who were there and not the parade of yellow journalists . I was left with a different impression, as a TV watcher, that fans were less than enthusiastic regarding one of the greatest coaches of all time BB (and a little disgusted too at the so called fans). This was largely due to Howard Ullman of the AP writing a story this evening titled "Fans at Patriots home opener criticize coach's spying". Didn't read it, other than the headline, so I might be rushing to judgement, but now I think he apparently went out and found a minority of fans to pen an article with a theme in keeping with the half wit masses of yellow media morons.

Huh. I watched on TV, and I thought the crowd noise was great - best I've heard in a while. The stadium looked full, even the controversial red seats (and I'm not one to knock them) whenever the cameras scanned the crowd. I saw more hoodies than usual, and the cameras picked up some pro BB signs, etc. I was proud of the hometown crowd!

It was obvious that the Pats Fans in attendance have had enough and their support for BB was obvious, this will last until Tuesday when the talking heads and other media will start more scandal stuff once again..then we will defend them until we become unsure of ourselves, and then we kick the crap out of Buffalo.. it will go on and on for a while.

It was great when Bill first came onto the field. It was like he snuck out there. Then they flashed him in his hoodie up on the Jumbotron. We cheered like heck and he actually waved! TWICE! :)

Did the TV watchers only get to see the crowd reaction when they announced his name as they came out of the helmet? That one was great too but it was really part of the overall hoopla. It was the first one that got to Bill. I am proud to have been there to show him how much I appreciate all he's done for our team. He acknowledged the fans in the post game presser.

BTW, that may have been my last game for a while. The traffic was worse that ever! I've been going to games for many years now, including 6 out of 8 last year. I was stuck in traffic for almost an hour and a half before even getting onto route 1. Then after the game, they funneled P2 out of ONE LANE! Brilliant. Until they get this straightened out, I'm going to watch from comfort of my living room. Of course, getting home at 3 AM has me a little grumpy right now... I bet I'll be back. :D

My voice is shot this morning and I'm guessing a lot of others here are as well. Awesome night ! We had a few Charger fans near us (one wearing a Flutie Charger jersey:eek: ) but they were pretty tame. The visiting radio team is always behind me and they looked shell shocked. Let's keep up the noise next week :rocker:

You guys were awsome!

You represented those of us that do not live in New England so well!

I was so proud to be a Pats fan last night.

Here is the commisioner basically hanging a distraction over our heads for the rest of the year, all the media pundits, from Cris Collinsworth to Michael Irvin, all saying we should have gotten hit harder in penalties, to that smug little midget, Bob Costas.

And what did the Pats and their fans do?

Showed up loud and proud and CRUSHED one of the NFL's so-called elite!

We were like Honey Roy Palmer in Diggstown..."Send in the next victim, please".

This is gonna be a fun friggin season!
