What the leak means

Sorry for another thread, but this is important.
The leak from Goodell's office give the Pats good reason to delay handing over any tapes and notes and admonish the league office for their inability to control themselves.
Why should the Pats give them anything if they can't be trusted to keep it to themselves?
The league office is trying to further embarass the Pats, and no cooperation is in order at this time.

I'm sure this wasn't leaked by mistake, it was obviously leaked by a high ranking official in the NFL.

Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson being voices of reason. Long saying what all of us are thinking, that everybody does it, they just wanted to nail us.

But, I am still shocked the tape was leaked. If I was the Pats, I would be busy gunning for Goodell's office right now. I can not believe the tape was leaked. I was thinking it was a typical Fox joke with Caliendo or whatever the guy who does impersonations doing a joke, but this was the real deal.

So um....That was cheating. Okay, anyone who has gone to an NFL can see that. THATS cheating? Taking game film and STUDYING it? It's cheating because you have more study material?

I scoffed at the idea of further non-compliance by the Pats about handing over whatever the league wants for fear of more public backlash.

That has changed.
Screw Goodell! He desereves nothing from the Patriots after this stunt.

I just watched it...

I was overcome by the fact that no one in the media wanted to step up and communicate to thier audiance that HOW the pats were using the video was NOT against the rules.

The fact remains that the only thing against the rules is the act of recording the video on the sidelines. Even when Jimmy admitted that he tried it but it didn't help him, he didn't step up and say that sign stealing is not against the rules.

There was nothing to see. It shows the coaches being shot, then the camera panning to the scoreboard to show down and distance. It showed it happening twice, once on a 3rd down, another time on a 1st and 10.
