Today on SIRIUS NFL Radio, hosts Adam Schein and Jim Miller spoke with Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson about the Patriots in the wake of the controversy over the illegal use of sideline video equipment in last week’s game against the Jets. “I don’t care whether [the Patriots] filmed it or not. They would still [...]

Re: Chad ?Ocho Cinco? Johnson on the Patriots

Interesting and not surprising. Chad seems to be able to cut through the BS and get to the crux of the matter.

Thanks for posting this.

Re: Chad ?Ocho Cinco? Johnson on the Patriots

Nice to feel some love, this is the warmest and fuzziest I have felt all week.

Re: Chad ?Ocho Cinco? Johnson on the Patriots

No wonder why BB likes and respects Chad Johnson. Although I'm wondering what his definition of the "best team in the league" means.

Re: Chad ?Ocho Cinco? Johnson on the Patriots

rats! now i have to like him a bit!

Re: Chad ?Ocho Cinco? Johnson on the Patriots

It means he's not on it.

Yet.

Re: Chad ?Ocho Cinco? Johnson on the Patriots

That was nice of him to say. I remember some funny back and forth he and Belichick had when the Pats played the Bengals, so I think he likes Belichick.

I don't blame other players and coaches for killing the Patriots over this, but it's comforting that not everyone thinks they suck :)

props to chad he knows wasup...

Re: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson on the Patriots

85 makes an interesting point...not the best, fastest and most talented..that my be the prob...the pats seem like a team you can beat...espeically at the beginning of their reign. like the smaller kid who beats you..now that pisses you off. you get beat by a bigger kid..well it hurts ..but not so much..it was inevitable.

you get beat by the great packer teams, steelers, cowboys, 49ers..well ok..didnt really have a chance. but the pats ...you can see the win...you can feel it..and then you fall flat on your face! now that hurts!

Re: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson on the Patriots

The old "tonight a dynasty is born" quote from the Rams comes to mind.

I actually think he meant that as a compliment. I think his point was that on paper we don't seem to have the most talent all the time, yet we're more than the sum of our parts.

But by any measure we're not the best team in the league right now. Maybe over the last x years we are, but right now, and always, the champs are the champs until they get knocked off. Let's discuss again in February.

Re: Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson on the Patriots

quite sure espn and nfln won't play this. For as much goofiness he shows he has probably rationalized it the best among even the coaches in the league.

HAHA, I'm among the crowd who's liked this guy from the start so I'm glad he's among the sensible. It would have sucked if he said some BS like Hines, since again I've always liked him.

Funny thing is most of the people who've said stuff bad about the Patriots are among players and coaches I've never really liked that much anyways.

Re: Cjohnson trying to score...

He is my favorite non-Patriot in the NFL.

Good to see I can continue with that opinion.

Bravo CJ, Bravo!

I heard Chad, he was great........... He's was "trying" to be PC, but you know him. He laughed the whole thing off. Said it was all crap. He also said that when you have a great QB, he doesn't need the coach to signal the defensive plays in, cuz by the time they do, he has already recognized it and responded accordingly. In other words, you're telling him stuff he already knows.

He also said he thought we had a pretty good QB ;)

It was good stuff and really showed a "football smarts" side of Ocho you don't always see. I knew I liked him for a reason.

Chad does make some good points in his support.
