He actually said this on last night's show.

Something to the affect of "You know what I would like to see come out of this? Bill Belichick just being a little nicer to people. Just don't treat people like they're dirt. Maybe this wouldn't have happened if he were just nicer to people."

So our speculation has turned out to be true.

This whole smear campaign is all about the media lilly-boys being upset that Bill Belichick doesn't treat them with kid gloves. And now they are all taking this opportunity to jump down the man's throat.

Well you know what? I like our coach being short and mean with the media, because the media is what has ruined sports in this country. And I could write 10 paragraphs elaborating on that, but I won't.

From their pampering and hero worshipping athletes, to their need to get stories in before the facts come in, to them using the media stage to further their personal ideas and agendas instead of being impartial.

This whole thing has just closed ranks in Patriot Nation, from the fans to the players to the coaches.

You thought Belichick was tough before? I suspect you ain't seen nothing yet, Felgie, you petulant, self-serving wimp.

i personally find it always odd when people say why arent you nicer or why dont you say something or why you talk too much and all that kind of personal opinions.
Every human is different , if felger can understand this basic concept then he can also understand BB and also all the coaches/players who yap too much.

Yeah, I'm sure all of this will make Bill be nicer to the media, Felgie.

Can't felger just go back to Wisconsin and cover the packers?

I used to like him before he became a media whore, back 4 years ago.

It is all about the ratings, because of his comments he might gain one more listener...

I know, that's why I don't read the herald anymore or listen to ESPN radio. He wont get my ratings.

Good post. I find it amusing that when reporters can't get information, they go after the person. Unfortunately, BB gave them all more ammo than they needed, and the floodgates opened with all these perceived indiscretions. Gee, if Bill were just a nicer guy to the media, all this wouldn't have happened.

Hah!!!!!

That's like asking Felger if he can be less of a girlie whiner - you are who you are. Most of us are happy with Bill as he is.

Could not agree more, it will take an awful lot for me to change my loyalty.. BB is the man.

this is why this whole thing is such a big deal to other people...people just don't like BB so now they have taken pleasure in kicking him when he is down. This mirrors the Barry Bonds situation. Barry was/is an ass so people hate to see him break the record...although it was just fine when nice guy juicer McGuire was breaking HR records. People liked him.

Let me give you a clue Felgie, Bill just wants to coach. He's not interested in giving you sound bites. And when he makes a statement followed with that will be all on the matter until a later date, guess what, HE MEANS IT!!!!! So when he stands at the podium and not one reporter can ask a single question about the upcoming game, he figures not one of you are focused on it, so he leaves. GET OVER IT. He's singularly focused on doing his job which is to prepare for the game at hand.
Do I think BB could use some PR advise? Yea, but I'll take Grumpy- Brilliant- Military-attics and all Belichick, any day of the week and a 100 times on Sunday!!!! You can take "nice", softspoken Mangini and see what that gets ya!

I am so sick and tired of this holier than thou attitude of the media, not just in sports but in general, in this country these days. Felger is a pompous, arrogant piece of crap.

Ya know what I what I'd like to see come out of this whole thing? Felger not being such an a-hole.

This isn't the first time New England has been cast as the villian. It won't be the last. I like who we are, what we stand for and most of all I like our coach.

Can't you just be smarter, Mike?
