Whatever the penalty, does the NFL have any idea what it's created?

Think about the most talented team.

The most well-coached team.

The most experienced team.

Now, possibly the most hated team.

All but a metaphorical handful have turned on them.

Their championship history is being questioned.

Teams and players that lost fair and square are coming out of the woodwork to whine about being cheated.

Can you imagine how pissed your New England Patriots must be?

That team given a chip that big?

This is actually cheering me up a little.

"Brady had to be doing a slow burn this week. All week long, it was all about Peyton Manning and his offense..."
"...well he's done his talking on the field."

Hmmmm, maybe a level playing field?

Yeah created a league FAR greater then the NFL, NBA and MLB.

You don't really think that the other 31 teams don't steal signs, do you? You think the "Mangenius" is above that?

Mostly, you're pretty reasonable, but that statement is something worse than naive.

Tell me, please, how the playing field has been leveled, because it was already dead-on.

Actually it's worse. What the NFL has done by (allegedly) coming down hard on the Pats and BB is legitimize the perception that, yes, the Pats have been cheating their way to wins throughout the BB era.

So now you have idiots all across the NFL landscape looking back at past losses to NE and saying "Hey, the commish smacked them down hard, there really must BE something to all this cheating stuff. Maybe they cheated when they beat us!" The ESPN story about the Eagles is a particularly stupid example of this.

Thanks, commish, now the NFL has an integrity scandal to match the NBA. Rather than realizing that everyone is trying to learn their opponents' signals and that this was just another method of doing that, and punishing the technicality accordingly, you chose to make a big splash about this rule violation, and now you get to suffer through the consequences.

Every past Superbowl and playoff winner will now be deemed to be cheating by the losing side and its fans. Teams that were previously considered 'well prepared and well coached' will now be assumed to be cheating somehow. Every correct call of offensive strategy will be derided as cheating... "The KNEW we were blitzing, so they threw a screen!!".

Nice job, commish. I hope you enjoy the fruits of your short-sightedness.

Hey Goodell is obviosly of the oppinion that this is a serious rule infraction that has created at least at times an unfair advantage for the Pats.

I don't buy that everyone does what the Pats are doing, maybe I am naive.

The thing is I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, there is more going on here then I am aware of. I think there is something going to be said about radio signals in the near future.

Sure I may be naive, an I am really pissed that the Jets got there ass handed to them in a game that might of been of been skewed due to the Pats cheating.

This makes me very mad.

What makes you very mad? That your ****ass team hasn't had a sniff of the super bowl in almost forty years? That your team got crushed last Sunday? Do you actually think that that mess of a team could have won last Sunday even if the Patriots played without helmets? That that joke of a team will not even break even this year?Just what gets you so mad?

What are the Pats doing?

===================================

They are pissing Goodell off to the tune of $5000,000.00
two early picks and and maybe even suspending BB for a few games.

This is a clasic example of where there is smoke there is fire.

JMHO:mad:

That tape was confiscated in the first quarter. It did not help the Pats in any way we kicked your team's ass fair and square.

How about your 4th overall draft pick last year being a bust, does that get you mad? Maybe you should turn your anger toward you own team and stop focusing on a team that wins.

This is the type of jackasses that we have to hear for a long time now.

Thanks Mangina.

You're officially an enemy for life after this.

I was indifferent about him before... but not any longer.

The Colt's used to be my most hated team.

It's easily the Jests now.

So tired of hearing "everybody looks for an edge"! Like comparing shoplifting chewing gum to robbing a bank...ridiculous!

Videotaping on YOUR sideline would send this board into the stratoshere! It's AGANST THE RULES AND.....not only is the league not singling you out....thery warned you a year ago for the exact thing with zerp consequences and "the genius" allowed it again, in NY against a known enemy! He should be fined for being a poser! Ivy league he ain't!

You are more then likely right. but we do not know if it helped the Pats or not.

Kicked our ass fair and square, I don't think so, neither does the Commish of the NFL.

You got it Bub, thank your coach for this mess.

You poor fans will never here the end of this.

You are right, it wasn't fair for the Jest. It wasn't fair that they did nothing in the off season to improve. It wasn't fair that they are in the same division as the Patriots. It wasn't fair for the Jest the moment the Patriots stepped on the field.
