The media are a bunch of whores.

I would'nt normally start a thread like this, but with so many different ones already posted, I figured "what the hell?"

Ahhh... I feel better now.

Thanks for listening.

As a former Patriots employee, Jets coach Eric Mangini must have known what was going on. So why didn't he have some kind of system of dummy calls set up to foul up the video surveillance?

"He did," says a former Patriots employee whose name cannot be used for obvious reasons. "He had three sets of signals being given, one real, two dummy. He had the same thing going when he beat the Patriots last year. But still, it means extra work, changing the way you prepare for a game. It means both clubs are not playing on the same level field, and that's what's wrong about it."

I asked the former Patriot, who knows the organization well, if Mangini could in any way be held responsible for being part of a system that encouraged cheating. He paused for a moment to decide how to get this right.

"You have to understand that organization," he said. "You have to understand how incredibly tight the ring is. Information is not just passed around. Even if you might be aware of something, you're not going to know exactly how everything works. Eric was an employee there. He was not privy to every decision. His own operation was clean. Sure, he knew other stuff was going on, but how was he supposed to handle it?

"The amazing thing is the incredible arrogance they showed, coming into Giants Stadium, facing an organization with all those ex-Patriots employees, and still trying to cheat."

Here's a hard question. How tainted does Tom Brady now become, as the quarterback who was the recipient of stolen goods?

"That's a tough one," my source said. "Tom also is an employee there. He does what he's told. I'll say this about Tom Brady. Not only is he an employee, but he's a damn good quarterback and a fine person."

I wonder who the mole is.

Same guy that probably talked too much about the Branch case.

"They all cheated. Well, except Eric, he was totally clean."

Brian Daboll I guess. Stupid to say.

He was not privy to every decision. His own operation was clean. Sure, he knew other stuff was going on, but how was he supposed to handle it?

Well, quit if you think it's wrong. BB made him from a ball bay to a defensive coordinator. He didn't complain anywhere but now claims his own operation is clean. The is no OWN operation. its all one operation.

heh, heh. Gunnails is a good poster, but he's also one of the most gullible people around.

Some Patriot fans are becoming no better than trolls. They give this appearance that all Patriot fans are in a state of panic, and need to write these small threads to get them through every minute of the day. It's called sports journalism and the media is covering an issue that is so unique, so let's let them do their job. And I suggest, we all concentrate on doing your job, and worry less about football. Remember, it's only football. It has no bearing on your life.

Hey I just posted part of an article, I am not vouching for its accuracy.

I might find it more credible if I knew who the mole is.

I'm not a troll, nor am I panicking.
I just stacked lumber in a mill for 8 hours and felt like getting the whole "the media are whores" thing off my chest.
Bet they're selling a few newspapers in NY this week eh?

Hm, this source seems to know a lot about the Jets plans, strategy and organization as well. Oh, wait, what's that you say, could this be a current Jets employee. Well I think we have bingo.

Nice NON-objective, slanted, agenda driven article. NEXT>

You mean that they would go to any lengths within the rules and law to sell papers or get market share? I thought that we applauded that kind of job dedication.

The media are a bunch of whores.
