This entire scandle is bullsh!t. All this "The Patriots are cheaters, " "BB has embarassed Kraft," "is Brady tarnished too?" is a complete fabrication. So they used a camera. Big f***ing deal! Studying an opponent has been going on for years. Does anyone think that the Patriots are the only one that does this - or for that matter the only ones to do it last Sunday? It's called scouting and it's done at every level. There is no way that film produced during a game could possibly have any effect on the current came -and so, there is no way they have cheated - period.

Stealing signs is simply part of sports - look at all that's done in baseball. Why do pitchers & catchers cover their mouths when talking to each other. Why to coaches cover their mouths with their clipboards. From what I've heard, besides the person sending in a play, there are usually two other dummy signalers operating at the same time. This is gamemanship at its best, and because of it, the Patriots may possibly lose multiple draft picks (possibly a first round)? The head coach may be suspended for multiple games? Please.

This little event will never be forgotten by me and I've got the feeling the players and members of the coaching staff may feel the same way. On Sunday, December 16th the J-E-T-S are scheduled to be in Foxboro, but don't be surprised if this game is moved to Sunday night. Whatever time they play, all I can say to Mr. Mangini and his team is welcome to the jungle.

This team was already scary good - now they're pissed.

Mangini did nothing wrong, the fault lies with BB, accept this and then move on.

First denial, then anger, then acceptance and depresion, I can't wait for depresion. :)

By te way where is the spell checker at?

If you really think Mangini won't be blamed by people other than the Patriots for this, I'd say you're being as much of a homer as us.

There's a reason why the NFL's legislation on this issue is practically non-existent. It's because it's impossible to legislate. And now Mangini has opened up a can of worms by breaking the gentleman's agreement.

Sorry. Spell checker should be a button with an ABC and a check mark.

I think Gunnails was asking a legitimate question, not busting stones.

LOL, whoops.

I think the spell checker is the ABC with the check mark under it.

Mangini did not get caught violating the rules, at least yet.

The Pats brought this on themselves.

Seriously, I could really use a spell checker, is there one?

When you hit your reply button, over the section with the smilies there is an ABC box with a check mark under it. I think that's what you want.

Is that the order of things Gunnails? I've got no problem with your post... you're a fan of another squad and I can dig that you want to "jump on" all of us Pats fans when we're down.... but I do have a question for you:

What about Pats fans, like me, that DON'T deny... and still DON'T care? Will I still be depressed eventually?

You don't have a spell checking built into your browser? Are you using IE 4.0 or something?

Great post, I wish this is what the public could realize.

You're acting as though this is all about rules. It's not. one could easily argue that rules don't have anything to do with it since this is the NFL, not a court of law, and the commissioner can practically choose any course of action he wishes too. It's a bit naive, if you ask me, to assume that all the NFL's competing interests of various owners, coaches and players are not putting pressure on the commissioner to act one way or the other, regardless of what the rules say. In a court of law, the Patriots would be found guilty of a very minor infraction. But here the commissioner may declare it a major infraction precisely because of the unwritten and unimagined intent of the law.

Look, Peter King said it best. The people around the NFL offices are incredibly angry right now because of the media circus that's detracting from the opening of the season. If you think that anger is only reserved for the Patriots' cheating, I'd say you're off. They're just pissed that their PR is ruined. This is the same sort of thinking that covers up drug use and concussions. Why does the NFL avoid discussing ways to counter concussions or steroid use? Because it's bad PR.

You're one noble man in a crowd of fools, mg, a real martyr for truth and justice. Why can't we all see righteousness as clearly as you? When this is over, you'll be a prized guest speaker at Jet conventions.

I am useing the latest version of netscape. I did not know you could spell check thru your browser.

I don't see it by the smileys, a switch to editor mode is there.

never mind, I will just have to take the abuse, that I deserve, for a poor education.

Don't think anyone is suggesting that Mangini broke a league rule. But you would have to be foolish to believe that 8+ minutes of the game went by before ANYONE on the Jets sidelines realized that they were being filmed.

The Green Bay incident had the Pats film guy ejected with no film seized. No evidence...but also no possibility of stolen signals. Isn't that the point? The Jets allowed the filming to happen and then had the film seized. Why? To screw the Pats. The Jets get the guy removed before the game starts (reporting the activity to the commissioner after the game) and everything gets handled in a professional way.

I don't know what explanation BB has for having a Pats staffer filming on the field. I do know that there is only one explanation for the Jets letting him film their team for at least several minutes before stopping him.

Great post, I wish this is what the public could realize.

At this point it's not about filming or not filming -it's a feeding frenzy on a coach and a team the rest of the league loves to hate.

That's interesting, mine is next to the Switch to Editor mode.
