Coordinated Smear Campaign Against BB...Going Back to Last Year....

1. Last seasons disclosures to the Herald about BB's maritial situation (NY woman, divorce proceedings)

2. Last weeks NY Post Cimini article claiming BB slammed Kerry Rhodes, (the Jets safety)

3. Leak of Cameragate to Rich CImini of NY Post (by Mangini) when the league wanted it kept private while they did their investigation.

4. Cimini article revealing Mangini was involved in snitching out BB


Its clear that there is a coordinated effort coming out of NY to smear BB, make him look bad, etc which has been occurring since mid season of last year. Also, Cimini is a close media friend of Mangini.

I guess its if Mangini cant beat Belichick on the field of play, try to ruin him and get him fired as coach of the Patriots. Pretty sleazy stuff here.

Mangina's a ratfink. He did the same exact thing while he was in NE. He was embarassed pure and simple, and instead of improving his team, he goes to the media. It takes the heat off him for poor coaching. What a whining, conniving, self-serving beeyatch.

Forget about the drop and the botched snap, since who knows what might have followed if those had turned out differently.

That said, the only reason it was 38-14 and not, say, 48-14 or 52-14 was that the Patriots went into clock-killing mode in the second half with that mammoth 10-min drive. Imagine what would have happened if Belichick had instead decided to play the "Hey, let's get our pass offense more in sync" game like he did at Minnesota.

I saw Mangini's press conference where he was asked about the incident. he basically gave the same answer BB did. The interesting thing is that he didn't look like a guy that was happy that he pulled a coup on his chief rival - he looked anxious and spoke very quietly. He looked like a teenager busted for pot sitting in th back of a police cruiser.

It makes one wonder if this whole thing was a planned prank - and it ended up blowing up in his face.

A planned prank? I think not. He's not a high school senior trying to leave a mark. He's ratted out the NFL on one of their behind the sceans practices. Maybe that's why he's looking so anxious? Since he left the Pats I've felt that Eric hasn't exactly been forward thinking/planning, this just adds to that.

Since this fiasco first broke, I have said this is a conspiracy launched against our team. I hope more people are coming to realize that this has nothing to do with "videtaping", and everything to do with 3 Sbs, Randy Moss, A. Thomas, Magazine covers, money and fame. it's time to line up in defense of our team, and not pretend to be "even-handed" faced with these absurd acusations.
