When was the camera taken? If the camera was confiscated and the tape seized during the game, when did BB have a chance to look at it and make adjustmeants? And is 15 minutes enough time logistically to take a videotape and analyze it, compare the signs with formations and come up with a game plan? I don't know much about videotaping, so I would like to know, is it possible?

Re: A question about the tape

The answer to your first question is that it was confiscated before halftime and we never saw it.

Secondly, it's impossible to be used real time.

They'd have to break out the tape, get the coach's tape video to show the whole defense, synch them up, have someone match up the calls to the defenses and have Brady learn the calls.

Nope.

Re: A question about the tape

It doesn't really matter what they did/do with the tape, it's the fact of having made the tape in the first place that's the problem. BB may just want to record the grimaces on the opposing coaches faces for posterity for all it matters, the crime's still the same.

Re: A question about the tape

the bottom line is that no one has officially come out and said what was on that tape. Maybe the NFL has found nothing and is too embarrassed to come out and say it. Either way I think this will fire the Pats up enough to go out and kick the chargers butts.

The "crime" of breaking a rule yes. Not cheating.

What happened : Cheating :: Not wearing a seatbelt : Drunk driving.

"New details came to light yesterday. The cameraman, wearing a team polo shirt under the league-mandated sideline photographer's vest, was stopped by security as he tried to enter the New England locker room before halftime, sources said. An animated discussion ensued, involving league security, Jets security and Patriots security.

The dispute, which occurred in the bowels of the stadium, lasted more than an hour, virtually the entire second half. At one point, it became so heated that New Jersey state troopers were summoned as a precaution, a source said. The Jets apparently were trying to confiscate the videotape, which wound up in the possession of NFL security. The tape was placed in a box, sealed and forwarded to the league."

The cameraman and security caused a scene according to a NY Paper [merged]

According to an article in a NY Paper today (post or daily news I am not sure,I will get a link if I can) - The article said there was a confrontation just before halftime Consisting of the Patriots cameraman and Jets security and shortly after NFL Security was then called in,The cameraman was heading towards the locker room of the Patriots when approached by Jets and NFL security, just outside of the locker room entrance.

A verbal squabble then broke out and there appeared to be a loud confrontation,The New Jersey State Police were called in just in case something happened,After this confrontation lasted sometime through the late part of the 3rd quarter ,The Cameraman then unwillingly handed the camera over to NFL Security which put the camera in a box, sealed it and mailed it to New York.

I have not read these details anywhere else - I wonder if this is true or just made up - Maybe someone here who went to the game can tell us whether they saw the Police called in near the Pats locker room or a near fight outside of it during halftime.

Before reading this I just thought the Cameraman was escorted to the security office and asked to hand over his camera but this appears at least by this source not to have been that easy.

Re: A question about the tape

You are refering to Ciminis article, although this may be true, Cimini has proven to be unreliable in the past. IMHO

Clayton and Leberfield reported the first 1/4, is when they grabed the guy.
