Earlier this year in the meeting of NFL Owners they had a suggestion of using 1 defensive player in the starting lineup to be equipped with a radio inside his helmet where the Defensive coordinator could then relay calls through that player rather than use the hand signals which would have left the playcalls deep within the teams on-field players much like the offense does with coach to QB communications.

When this vote took place to get this into the games this year it was only accepted by 22 of 32 owners - 24 votes was needed to accept the proposal.

If you look at it this way the owners - In particular up to 10 of them who voted NO are the reason why this stuff is allowed to go on and could have been avoided.

BB and staff took advantage of the fact this was obviously really considered a non-issue and no big thing by the owners who voted no and if it was passed we would not be seeing this crap go on all week-there would be no hand signals to be seen anywhere.

For the owners who voted NO its YOU who allowed this possibility to go on.

Its just like if you left your wallet outside your house purposly with a ton of money in it don't blame a guy to come along and take that money out of it and then call the cops to arrest him (if you know what I mean) - It was your fault he had the chance to take it from you. - YOU allowed this to go on.

Please. Just because some didn't want the rule changed doesn't mean that they are to blame when someone else comes along and breaks it.

This is horrible logic.

If they did not vote high enough to let this new proposal go on then its thier fault things like this happen - thats the bottom line.

You take away the hand signal issue with microphones inside a players helmet and you avoid stuff like this.

May seem stupid to yuo but if this passed at thier meeting are we even talking about this now? - YES or NO?

If you answer NO then there is my analogy

Do you really believe this logic? I hope not.

Well, she shouldn't have dressed like that....

They should have locked their door before going on vacation...

He left his windows down in his unattended car, so he was asking for someone to take his stereo....

This is the same logic that you are trying to apply. Just because someone else leaves the door open doesn't mean you can steal what's inside.

Yes,Belichick did not have to steal signals just because he was able to, BUT was he able to by way the failure of some votes to not allow this to happen when this very subject was brought up in the owner's meeting? - YES

None of the buts matter. You are deflecting responsibility from where it really lies and doing a poor job of it.

NO BUTS about it ;),Its the owner's responsibility to correct stuff like this especially since it apparently is going on rampant throughout the league which is why this was brought up in the owners meetings in the first place

Bad logic here.....There are also a number of reasons owners voted against the D radio signal idea. One of the reasons is that the defense does NOT have a QB liek teh offense that is always on the field...as there are many substitutions. THUS if only one player was designated to be able to hear signals, he would almost be compelled to ve in the game more. Doesn't work out teh same way. IF there was a way to have one defensive player ALWAYS
with the ability to hear signals...I think more teams would have gone for that. Given how players go in an dout of the D..it may be hard...BUT I do think there were some owners who voted against that FOR this reason. I do think ultimately, this is teh way to go to avoid the stealing of D signals and this fiasco.

Re: In reality,10 owners are to blame for signals being allowed to be seen or video t

well...they will change their vote now...so it is related. another reason why bill was so blatanti am sure he wishes there was no spying...cause he knows he is better then the other coaches. and losing a few picks is no big deal to him if the games can be decided on the field

But he's still a thief.

So I don't like your reasoning or your analogy.
