the carrion birds of the NY media were circling, preparing to rip to shreds the bloated body of ManGina after this one-sided debacle. IMO, the whiny byatches on the Giant sideline felt compelled to leak this trumped up story to the media as a red herring, to distract and waylay an inconvenient and humiliating news cycle. Here are just afew reason for their chicaneries:

1. They were humiliated on the field in a rivalry game for which they had prepared over 6 months.

2. Their starting Qb was injured, potentially dooming their season

3. Their left tackle, the #4 overall pick, was exposed as a bust

4. Pennignton was injured because the left side of the line caved in. The Jets had treated Pete Kendall with a contemptuous, heavy hand, sending him packing. Kendall's absence directly contributed to Pennington's injury.

5. The Jet fans revealed themselves as the worst in the NFL, embarrassing the organization, cheering an injury to their best player, a person whom even opposing fans can admire for his heart and grit. Good luck elsewhere, Chad.

Feel free to add on.

As time passes, the real damage will fall on Mangini. This guy is being revealed for the snake he is.

Did the Jets truely leak this story, any one have a link?

I do not know how the story got out.

But as for your reasons why the Jets/Mangini leaked the story (if in fact they did), they are good ones.

So Mangini tipped off NFL officials that the Pats were recording his defensive coaches' signals; He knew beforehand that BB would be doing this due to their history together. Yet we're supposed to believe that the Pats would have an unfair advantage by recording the signals; IOW Mangini's coaches didn't switch up the signals despite knowing they were being spied on. Wouldn't that make Mangini the dumbest NFL coach ever?

Regards,
Chris

I thought the Jet's WEB site was the first to issue a statement

NY POST STORY TODAY - GO READ THE POST - they are the ones that reported Mangini The Rat tipped em off, Cimini is the writer I belive???

I think we all know how our players do once they leave our squad, I think we are seeing the same thing happening with our coaches that leave. We all see Romeo's troubles, but I wouldn't say that Charlie or Mangina are doing much on their own.

It first appeared online in Jets Confidential. I wonder how it got there?

Why is everyone mad at the jets??? or even Mangini??? If another team spied on you wouldn't you want something done????

And seriously change the defensive signals that have been tought this entire week in preparation for this game?? come on people.....

Jets fans - you lost not because the pats "cheated" but because your team was not prepared, looked at times sloppy and just didn't do enough to keep the pats offense in check. Sorry end of story!

Pats Fans - as stated before.... if someone spied on you, wouldn't you want something done? Please understand your coach, if in fact he gets completly proven to have committed or been involved in the planning of this video recording, should be held responsible.

by the way goodluck this weekend and i'll see some of you at the game.

-RESPECT ( yes a Charger Fan!)

You seem to not be aware that last year the Dolphins used audio recording to steal Brady's line calls, and beat us 21-0. The media, as well as Patriot nation, moved on.

this is from the JC story by Dan Laberfield

----------------------------------------------------------------

The story was first reported early yesterday by Dan Leberfeld from the Jets Confidential Web site. He said that the Jets chief of security Steve Yarnell alerted NFL security about the issue during the game.

Leberfeld said on radio station 790 The Score last night that the “Patriots employee” was aiming the camera at the Jets defensive coaches who were sending signals to the team on the field and that Yarnell noticed him shooting in an odd direction.

According to Leberfeld, Yarnell approached the alleged Patriots employee and then confiscated his equipment.

The Jets have filed a complaint with the league office.

I dont see any thing here about a source for the story, is this the report you meant?

Didn't Dan Lebberfeld site sources within the Jets for the story which he broke?

Do you need taped signals to add 2 and 2 together? Are you actually trying to argue that this story wasn't leaked to the press by the Jets organization? Who else? The Pats, or the NFL League Office? Please.

Where do you think Leberfeld got this story? The Pats? It came directly from the Jets.

Chris my man, you forget that there is something in the air or water there that renders HCs 'dumb', and no I don't mean speechless. I call it the Kotite effect. Look at Herm Edwards and his hilarious reaction to the Mensa challenge of clock management during the two minute drill. Now the once brilliant Mangenius has been renduced to the IQ of a gerbil from spending too much time there.

Fer humanity's sake, let's keep Stephen Hawking away from the place!

Obviously someone in the Jets FO told the Jets Cheif of security to watch out for this one camera guy.

Mangina is a rat, plain and simple. Unless I am missing something he was a coach with the New England Patriots during there 3 superbowls so if the Pats are labeled as cheaters then so is he,since after all he was a Patriot.

Only diffrence is is not only is Mangina a CHEATER but he is also a RAT!

I think Callahan has him beat.

Nope not aware of that situation at all:eek: That's nuts!! So why didn't the Pats file a Greivence or something?? is it because they had no proof? or did they not care? seriously why???

Um, having multiple sets of signals is routine. Ditto audible calls.
