Sean Salisbury
This is an unbelievable story; to me because I don’t think is a big deal.

It is an absolute Joke.

Bottom line the Patriot Players are way better than the Jets Players and is not close.

Its nice to finally hear somebody at ESPN speak the truth instead of just trying to increase their viewers. Hope Mark Schlereth was watching

Hopefully Mark Schlereth can't sleep well at night, knowing that the teams he was on that won championships really DID cheat, by circumventing the salary cap.

Finally someone on ESPN not spewing propaganda. :)

Re: Sean Salisbury NFL Live Not a big Deal

The only negative I can see is that salisbury has in general, been more of a fan of the Patriots than a lot of other teams, and more so than most analysts. he's always been favorable in his picks and pieces for the most part. Both him and Hodge have always stood out to me as somewhat pro-patriot...so he might get a rose colored glasses label.

The pats are not going to win any popularity contests with the media or general public outside of the core pats fans.

At this point, I don't care anymore. Do whatever is going to be done to them so the pats can move on and kick the chargers butts

Re: Sean Salisbury NFL Live Not a big Deal

Salisbury was on "The Hot List" earlier and said much of the same. He didn't think it was cheating but just trying to gain a competitive edge and stated how all teams do it.

He said the Patriots were just so much better than the Jets they could've beat them with 8 players on the field and the Jets video taping the Patriots signs.

He's damn right.

Wha? I agree about Salisbury, but did you take an extra drink when you wrote Hoge? Are you kidding? He hates the Pats.

Today, I like Sean.

Re: Sean Salisbury NFL Live Not a big Deal

ESPN is such a butt kiss network, I can't believe they have such a hate on for the Pats.

Glad to hear people like Salisbury and the Barber's call this for what it is.

I'm glad to hear someone calling this what it is.

I was watching the NFL network,Terrell Davis Rod Woodson were discussing this,TD thought the Pats should be "banned from post-season play" as punishment...a tad harsh methinks....

That's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Do those morons have any idea how that would ruin the game? Why on earth would we prepare for any games? Why would anyone watch them? Those two people are so stupid I honestly have no words.

And yeah, Terrell Davis....someone should remind him what team he played for. Jackass!

Good news. Speaking of talking heads... Isn;t this just another example of stupid boston media falling for NY media spin? They bought this scam hook line and sinker, whipping themselves into a frenzy. In two more days they'll realize they're a bunch of suckers.

Totally agree. And good for Sean S. on his take, which is spot on. The outrage over this is really comical--it's amazing how many people take their cue from media ass-hats.

When thinking about Mark Schlereth, you gotta remember his thinking:

videotaping signals on the sideline = the worst crime ever made in the NFL

trying to end players seasons and/or careers with illegal chop blocks = Just plain fun

Schlereth played on the Broncos' offensive line during the height of their dirty and illegal blocking tactics. Schlereth should not be leading the moral majority in the NFL.

"Not a big deal." Is that what he was saying when he flashed his junk on his camera phone? /rimshot

Interesting comment from Davis, considering the following:

"In December 2001, the Broncos were fined $968,000 and lost a third-round pick in the 2002 draft for violations reportedly relating to $29 million in deferred payments to quarterback John Elway and running back Terrell Davis."

Now that's what I call the pot calling the pat black.

nice to see some voice of reason emerging, it really is not that big a deal, but it has become because of a lot of hysteria amongst fans and media...
