as it is laid out in the official CBA and not a quote from a website that mor or may not be correct.

That way we can better determine if BB's interpretation of this policy is a good one or bad one.

I don't think it is a CBA issue, but rather a "rules of the league" issue... I think I saw an official rules quote in one of the many articles I have read today on the subject. I will see if I can find that article again.

Dale and Holley are talking on this right now. Dale's thinking is the BB will be saying that his interpretation will rest on that he was not taping and making the tape immediately accessible. It would be reviewed and analyzed at a later date.

Too bad it wasn't a camera being used in a dome stadium setting ..............

I don't think that is the rule in it's entirety. Dale/Holley were reading a section that stated something about not having any video information used immediately during a game. My apologies that I only caught part of this conversation. My hope is that someone can find the rule in question and post it in it's entirety.

Go back in time to the past AFCCG in the DOMED stadium in Indy where after coming back from 1/2time the Indy offense owned the Pats defense.

Was Polian seen with camera in hand heading to the Colts lockeroom at halftime after seeing his offense stymied the first half?

Now there's a conspiracy theory if ever there was one

Maybe it's tme to float this one around as BB's true motive to prove a point.

Sadly, that had more to do with a badly compromised by injuries secondary and some poor officiating than any conspiracy.

They won't be using the camera, but the stealing is going to continue as we know it does week in and week out all over the league."

so i ask you, if the stealing of signals is likely to continue, and I for one completely agree that it will - you know, since it's not expressly prohibited - what exactly has this little witch hunt produced?

Here we are on day 3 and we STILL don't know what the pats were even up to or how/if the camera helps them.

Scouring the non-player section of the rules, I can't find anything about cameramen in there, beyond that they aren't allowed in the endzones or on the field of play during a play, and that like all other sanctioned non-players, that they cannot influence the play on the field by entering it or committing any other flagrant acts towards the players or it's an on field penalty. I'd like to see this year's rulebook.

And it does seem to exclude the sidelines from the "Field" but that may be contradicted in other rule book we don't have.

So it is something that confirms that this is new this year. Therefore, anything done before this year is definitely legal by the rules, and any so-called "tarnishing" of the Patriots' legacy is a joke.

I think ultimately what we've going to hear from the Patriots is that they thought the rule was designed to prevent the simultaneous taping of calls, so as to be unable to tip off the defense in the moment, whereas recording for later use was and always has been ok.

This is going to be a bit tough to sustain if the language of the league directive is clear, but I guess it's a defensible position.
