He also is seen as exposing this to the media, as opposed to keeping it quiet and letting the league investigate it. I dont see how Mangini ahs a bright future.

He and Bill will not do the man hug thing next game, but the ultimate issue may be amongst his peers.. in every work environment there is an unspoken culture of expected behavior amongst peers. When that is violated, stuff happens.. he better obey all of the rules from hereon, cause people will be watching.

The bottom line is that the JETS ARE STILL A HORRIBLE TEAM ... the Patriots received no competitive advantage from this and still kicked their assest all over the field.

Mangini proved he's a shameless snake. He's way beyond Bill in terms of doing ANYTHING to win, including screwing with the unspoken NFL coaching brotherhood or a professional relationship.

This is not the first time he has done something shady against the Pats.

I think when all said and done, Belichick keeps chugging along winning games, while Mangini's career starts to take a nosedive from this point forward. And when he falls, no one will be there to help him.

yes. Belichick's greatest revenge, should he place a priority on exacting it (and we can't know that he will), would be to win the division for the next three years, have the New York media start calling for Mangini's head (which they will at the end of season three, i.e., next year) and watching him get fired the year after.

I'm a little confused as to why Mangini would do what he did. All the idiots that are demanding asterisks beside our Super Bowls after this... Mangini was involved in all of those. To that extent this tarnishes him as much as anyone else.

I have greater respect for the Jet Players than the Jet fans, who cheered their best player's injury. As for the front office, which is composed of Pat rejects, why shouldn't we despise them? Their #4 pick was exposed as a bust; their Head Coach got his @$$ handed to him after 6 months preparation; like a whiny ***** he cried to the press about an issue of standard gamesmanship IOT to distract tthe carrion birds from his own pathetic performance. Really, anger toward Jet management should come from Jet fans, who once again have been sold a bill of goods, while they're being sold down the river.

Um the Jets do come in our stadium and do it all teams do. BB last year had Don Davis a LB/S stand in front of Pees the entire season blocking camera locations so he could send out signals without them being taped. He just dealt with reality instead of whining like a child because he knew that he didn't have a team that could stand toe to toe with the Pats.

Like I said earlier, as unpopular as this opinion sounds, I put a lot of the blame on Belly. He could have prevented this stupid rivalry if he would have shown some type of professionalism and respect when Mangina left the team. It was pretty hypocritical of Belly, since he did the exact same thing to get to our team, years earlier. If Bill would have acted like a proud father instead of a grumpy old man when Mangina got the offer to coach the Jest, Mangina might have kept his mouth shut about this trade secret.

Towards Mangini, not the Jets.

I have viewed the Jets for years (no one personally, just the Jets), as the team I most dislike and most want to beat. This is not uncommon in New England and I believe it is the same for people in New Jersey, where the Jets play. It's called a rivalry and is a good thing in sports. My favorite pre-2001 football game is the 56-3 Pats-Jets game. I'm hoping to score 100 points n Foxboro next game as a statement.

I have only recently come to dispise Mangini, and that is what this thread is about.

Mangini is a weasle. All you have to do is look how he handled the Pete Kendall situation where he decided to humiliate Kendall before trading him to see that he is a bitter vindicitive man. I won't excuse Belichick for what he did, but Mangini has successful avoided the spotlight of how underhanded he truly is because Belichick's public persona and the fact that Belichick was cheating.

Based on rumors that are starting to surface, Mangini was bad mouthing Belichick throughout the league last year. Yes, Belichick gets the blame for cold handshake and not saying Mangini's name, but if Belichick knew he was telling other teams he was cheating why should he? Mangini tried to recruit players and staff before he even got the Jets' job. Mangini and Tannebaum also orchestrated a coupe when he came to the Jets to oust Terry Bradway.

I think Mangini is avoiding the spotlight right now, but I bet many GMs and coaches around the league is seeing how disrespectful and Judas-like he has treated the guy who made him what he is. He better hope he holds onto his Jets job for a while. I think he might have trouble finding a DC job if and when he is let go of the Jets. Many coaches may not trust him and he doesn't have a long resume of success at the DC that a head coach may risk Mangini stabbing him in the back.

Mangini better hope last year wasn't a fluke or he could go from Mangenius to Manunimployed fairly quickly. I think if the height of his Jets tenure ends up being last year, his career in the NFL may be over when he leaves the Jets.
