Heartbroken in Massachusetts

I really don't know. How could I? However, as I have been saying all day, this is very serious. I expect to lose a first day draft pick, or perhaps one first day and one second day. And yes, I think that the Commissioner is considering suspension for Belichick. And yes Kraft and Bill will sit down on Monday and discuss the future.

So you what are you saying you think is going to happen to BB? Suspension? Stepping Down? Fired?

You can tell this guy or woman or both (in case they're from California!) is an imposter who just signed up and is trying to pretend to be a Pats fan!

OMG, hahahaha, this is the funniest thing I have read all day!

Heartbroken??? Are you kidding me? Especially on this day, you dare use a word like heartbroken about a football team breaking a rule.

Heartbroken is for the families of those who died six years ago today! Cry for them. This is football, life will go on..........

Your post that you were "heartbroken" suggested that you thought stealing signs was the crime.

It's not. We're talking about another rule violation such as the case when the Dolphins were caught using audio recording devices.

I really doubt many Fin fans hearts were broken over that rule violation.

I'm not sure if you're a hocky fan, but would you be "heartbroken" if you learned that a member of the Bruins was bending his stick in excess of what the NHL allows? Holding the stick higher at the start of a slap shot?

Those are all rule violations as well.

They are certainly against the rules but I wouldn't necessarilly think that any fans are heartbroken over them.
Sorry but its not even close to the same thing. Here is a link to the thread about this that I started after it happened.

We (allegedly) bought game tape that had audio of your line calls. Big deal, anyone can get that from watching a normal CBS feed. Every team in the league had access to that tape.

What you guy are accused of doing is sending employees to another teams sideline (which the NFL warned the whole league was illegal this off-season) and then matching it up with polaroid shots to figure out exactly what the opposing D was going to do.

Not even close to the same thing.

Edit- And by the way your own coach said it wasnt a big deal, after the league investigated it and said the same thing.
Without convening a congressional hearing or hiring an independent counsel to investigate the incident, the NFL has ruled that the Miami Dolphins violated no league rules in the Tapegate affair associated with the team's 21-0 victory over the New England Patriots last Sunday.

From Charlie Casserly
"What the Miami Dolphins do is this - they have a coach who studies the game tapes, the television tapes, to pick up the signals from the opposing quarterback," he said. "In fact, you can go out and buy something called network iso-tapes that people at home don't see, to get additional audio.

"There is nothing illegal about what Miami did. However, the Patriots got caught doing something early in the year they weren't supposed to be doing. They had a man on their sideline dressed in coaching attire with a video camera who was presumably videotaping the other team's signals. You can't do that. They were warned. If it happens again, they're going to be disciplined."

Now let's not go THAT far......we have no angst left after the 2004 WS win! At least I don't. Those in angst over this have waaaaaay to much free time on thier hands. I work full time, do all the housework, go to school and have a stack of books taller than my night stand that need to be read, can I trade places with one of these poor unfortunate souls??

sure you can--just finish school, continue to work full time, do the housework, realize the enormity of your school loans and have the free time of no more school work

cheers!

So if i work all day and then take care of 2 kids after work am i aloud to be bothered by this. Just checking since you seem to know.

and thanks for reminding me this is 9/11, i forgot.

Maybe you should tell it to all the news outlets covering this storyand all the people posting about it today.
Maybe you should remind the people that were crying in game 7 of the 2003 ALCS and then again in 2004. It's just a game life goes on.
And tell the COlt fans from last year that looks so sick to their stomachs at the 1/2 it's just a game, life goes on. And then remind the pats fans after the game that it was just a game, life goes on.

Just some other people that may not remmeber 9/11.

i Don't need anyone telling me what i can be upset about and what i can be happy about. Like Everett finding out he may be able to walk again.
