Don't we have a Visiting Locker Room??

Can't you ban some of these idiots!

I don't know that mods can ban...maybe but I think that only an Admin can...so I think. If mods can ban...then I don't know what the hell they are doing.

Yes. We do have mods. 9 of them on this main forum, in fact.

But we do have things we need to do besides moderating here. So don't expect all of us to be on 24/7.

Keep in mind we're seeing as many users right now online as we've ever seen on the forum - more than 1,400 (record is about 1,500 during the 2007 Draft) as of right now. And the server is on the verge of crashing, as evidenced by the database errors you've probably been getting.

So right now, it's T-Shirt, shmessy, Miguel, CrazyPatsGuy, and me online. Keep in mind we've received almost 20 reported posts today -- easily a new record.

We're working in-between tracking down HGH_Harrison's crap (among multiple other trolls...Ian, as you've probably seen, has implemented a new measure just for today to help stop the madness).

And no, only Ian (and technically Bob George) can ban members.

Apparently we don't.

The modss have been all over the posts, and I've been removing people all day so apparently you haven't noticed the 20+ people who are no longer with us. I've also disabled registrations and am moderating each new member to prevent more problem posters.

Ian

And by the way, please keep reporting posts. This is easily the quickest way mods can be made aware of problem posts.

Thanks. It probably won't get any better with all the talk about penalties.

I've said this before. A lot of turmoil in these situations can be avoided if there is a minimum post count before someone can start a thread.

I have moderated larger forums than this in the past - and this is an effective way of controlling this type of bad behavior - which is so common now - while not restricting access to the site in general.

This suggestion is noted and I agree should and will be implemented. I have disabled registrations which will now need to be approved to prevent any further outbreak.

Good job Ian. I would like to ask the Frank Moga not be banned. He is great entertainment. I hope no one takes him seriously, except himself.

I second this. Wasn't the first time this week.

Can a mod merge all these stupid ass threads into one? I can't fathom why we need 20 threads, about something lots of NFL teams do, polluting the main board.

No agenda in this post other than *huge* props to the mods for keeping this board relatively sane, even in times like these.

Really...disable registration until this blows over.

Megadittos! (I hate that expression)
Don't ban Moga from the Visiting Forum. Wicked pissah entertainment.

But please do not let disruptive forces re-enter this fine main forum.

While losing their own sanity. Keep up the good work guys. ;)

Yes, please, some of these need to be merged.

Since this seems to be the official "*****" thread, I'd like to know where my thread went?
