Wondering what people thought of it.

Seems to me I saw him make a few plays in the run-game - either directly tackling or holding his gap as Asante cleaned up and rode the guy out of bounds. He had quite a few tackles - 7 plus an assist - and I'm not sure I recall him getting too burned on receptions, but I could be wrong.

Thoughts?

He was all over the field, I thought. I think with him focusing on playing free safety and not corner like the last two years, he will be the Geno we remember.

He looked good....and with the Randy show people forgot that he was a injured guy coming back and showing he is fine. We will need him to keep playing like that while Rodney's gone (wtf were you thinkin rodney)

Wilson looked alot like he did three years ago. But I'll have to see more to be convinced.

Amen Cousin! Looked decent but that was yesterday.

Definitely much closer to the 2004 Wilson than the 2005 Wilson. The only thing I could give him a negative mark on was he was a little soft on coverage of Coles on one play. But then again, a lot of our players played him soft at times for some reason.

Yeah, Wilson did a good job yesterday. Hopefully he keeps it up. I always liked the kid.

I think he was one of the forgotten pieces when everyone was breaking down what went wrong in that Indy game last year.

I think he played well. It was nice to see him out there.

I thought it was his best game since SB 39 and his best game ever without Rodney there to direct him. It seemed like he was calling out the plays to the rest of the secondary and directing people to different spots, if my perception is correct that's very encouraging.

He's a HUGE upgrade over Hawkins from last year. Now all he needs to do is stay healthy. :bricks:

Glad to hear this general reaction. I thought he looked good, too. Hope he keeps it up. We need him.
