All I want to do is see my team beat the crap out of the rest of the league every sunday. I am sick of all this drama! First it's the Randy Moss/offseason acquisition media convulsion. Then it's Harrison HGH issue. And then the Brady baby papa drama. And now it's cameragate. WTF? Can't we just talk x's and o's and matchups for the upcoming game?

The media sucks! They always need a story to make the games more interesting. What they don't understand is our schedule is freakin' tough this year. We do not need any side stories or drama to make each game more compelling. It's Chargers vs. Patriots. That is a dynamite matchup in itself. Well, I guess it comes with the territory. :bricks:

There will always be stories about the favorites in this league. In the early 90's I doubt stories like this would have come out because the team was so bad then. Now however the media spotlight is so much stronger because we are perennial contenders for the SB.

If that's the price of being an annual contender for the top crown in this league, then I'll live with it.

But yeah, just like Actors hate the paparazzi, I wish all these "drama" stories would go away as well.

What I don't get with all this "cheating" is that why would BB "cheat" on the lowly Jets and Packers, but NOT "cheat" on high powered teams like the Colts and Chargers??

These drama stories won't go away until the Patriots are a doormat once again and not a threat for the SB

Don't you guys understand that about every media figure and fan that is NOT a Patriots fan HATES the team and is tired of all the success,The league is crying for the crap teams to rise and teams like New England to crumble and let the others take over and if it ain;t happening they are going to grab the shovel and dig for dirt

Reminds me of that great 90s song by Don Henley, "Dirty Laundry"

Charger fan here!

Not true! Many dynasty teams of the past remained relatively "drama free" during their reign. I've always liked and respected the Pats organization, but lately your integrity seems to be in question. It's funny really! Your team is so damn good - why would you even care about the pitiful Jet's signals?

The drama makes it more fun in a way though. Sunday night's game will have a playoff atmosphere - can't wait!

It's called ENVY, If they can't beat you on the field they tear you down! ;)

Yeah right. Sorry but the media builds up dynasties like the Patriots when they start winning and when they start winning too much, the next storyline would be to bring them down. That's just the way it is. This isn't just about football, it's about life in general. It is what it is.

Nice vague answer! Examples other than NE would help your arguement here...so??

The Cowboys had players like Irvin doing all kinds of stupid things. The 49ers had an owner who ended up having to give up his team due to his actions. I'm not really sure what drama free "dynasty" teams you're talking about.

Indeed. And the 9ers always led sportscenter night after night with how loaded they are. Also, Joe was voted hottie of the year while Bill was regarded as Darth V because he didn't shake the hand of a mere mortal.:rocker:

It comes with the territory. I'd rather have this problem then the current predicament of most teams' fanbase.

Hey, you're the one who didn't agree with my statement. I was nice enough not to ask you for your examples first. But I will acquiesce to your wishes.

Cowboys 90's - Everyone loved Michael Irvin

Cowboys 70's and 80's - South America's Team (because of all the drugs)

Raiders - Most loved organization in football

Steelers - Bradshaw is a dumb hick

Niners - Eddie de Bartolo cheated the cap which is why they were able to keep all of those players for such a long time

Bulls - Michael Jordan gambles

Yankees - they buy championships

Everyone loves to knock teams or people that are perceived to be at the top or near the top of their field consistently.

Why do you think Bill Gates is reviled so much in the IT industry? Sure, I bet it has nothing to do with the fact that he is #1 in terms of size.

Wake up! Why do I have to explain all these simple things to you? Should I be disappointed in all charger fans now? Are they really a reflection of their best player?

Damn ...is all that in print in Boston?? We don't hear crap like this in our papers...well, except the Yankees....everyone knows that!:D

I am absolutely sick of all this crap..but I am not sure the media is entirely to blame...but even thru all this crap football is great...

Merriman is cancelled out by Harrison...then there's the "rest of the story"!

You can have 10 cameras Sunday night and you even know our gameplan....won't matter! Try to stop us and let's see how Randy and Tom play when they receive big time NFL hits (Tom IS a man and will take-em but Randy don't like contact - oh - unless he's just taking the play off)

I'll be back Sunday - 9 pacific :)

Can anyone answer this question?

Can anyone answer this question?

They remember to cover their mouths when they send in the signals unlike the other dopes.

Can anyone answer this question?

Yes!

They do it all the time but were only "caught" cheating against these weaker opponents! Just like if you catch your wife cheating on you - first thought - how many more??

I was just about to start a thread and saw this one. Yes I'm sick of us, and most of all dissapointed. I'm dissapointed because i used to love how we were the quiet and talented team. I hate all this negative attention our team is getting. It's at a point where i haven't watched ESPN sice Sunday, and usually watch it all day. I'm doing the best i can at avoiding all this crap, even not coming here much the last few days. I'm just hoping all this crap blows over and blows over fast. Seriously, from the Brady Babies to this video thing really has me up tight. This has even effected my mood lately. I'm just so fed up, I'd rather just stay away and wait for this to pass. I don't know about you, but I'm almost embarressed to be a Patriots fan right now.
