In his post game presser........

Some good things out there, it was a solid effort. Some things we need to do better though.

It doesn't mean anything though. It's just one game. We didn't clinch anything.

:singing: ******* priceless :singing:

The scary part is it's true. We left a lot of points out there in the first half and should have been up 17-7 instead of tied.

We are awesomely talented this year, but you have to cash in.

If we hit on all cylinders next week, the task will be to keep everyone focused, because we should have an answer for anything talent wise.

Re: BB is Priceless..........

I'll take 38 points any day. So we could have had 45... I'm not sweating it.
Not with how tough our D usually is.
The scary thing is that I think this kind of game will be business as usual for the Pats.
Expect them to not just beat teams this year, but to do so in dominating fashion.

The Colts binkies have a new force to reckon with, Da Pats!
You might even see some mediots singing a different tune after this game, but I doubt it, and I actually don't care.
I am just loving this team right now!

Pats easily left 17 points on the board... And that is the really scary part...

They could have had 55 points today...

All I can say is WOW...

Not to mention that is his 125th Win!!!

That is very true...and the D did not play their best either.....so it's one game..there is more to build on...the next game is BIG...

I would agree.................. I was excited going in........... That is nothing compaired to what we say today. Seriously, this was goofy what happened here today. The Jest (admittedly not a great team) almost did not belong out there.

You guys, we were supposed to beat the Jets. I am excited, but more than that, relieved. Do I think Randy snags 150odd yards every week, and one (official, plus 1 unofficial) touchdown? Nah. Not every week. 10 TDs and 1000 yards? Yeah. That's about right.

But come on. It's the Jets. Not the Chargers, not the Colts, not the Donks, not the Ravens. These games are the "gotta haves." Let's hold the crowing a week, and just say yeah. It looks good thus far.

Okay enough of the voice of reason stuff... WOOHOOOOOO we actually DID get the "real" Randy.

So far anyway.

I guess I will feel that way if we play as well against the Chargers.

The Jests are an overrated team. I think they are running for LAST in the division this year.

One game at a time.

Nice post as usual PFnV! Summed up my thoughts.

Yes, of course we were supposed to beat the Jets. We always are....except last year we did not. And in our first effort against them when we did win, we pissed away a lead.

A divisional win is a big thing. These guys know us well and are coached by one of our former coaches. I feel good about the win, but of course, I agree we take it one game at a time and try to improve every week. We did still make some silly mistakes.

To an extent............... I'd agree. Cept Brady was obviously looking for Moss and felt extremely comfortable with him out there. Brady aint Culpepper and Moss and Branch....... This is a dangerous coupling for the rest of the NFL.

Moss gets 11-12 TD this year............. but he get's over 1200 yds is he stays healthy.

BB is the man, going to keep this team on an even keel all season, no matter how good they look. You need a coach like that.

How about enjoying the win considering that this is the first game and that we still need a few games to hit all our cylinders? :)

No Rodney, no Big Sey. Defense did fine.
They did ok in points allowed, but guys, the D allowed the Jets to convert 67% (6 of 9) of their 3rd down conversions and 100% of their red zone opportunities (2 for 2). BB is right - their is plenty of room for improvement.

Because that's not the topic of this thread. We are, I am sure, all enjoying the win tremendously. But the topic of this thread is BB's remarks. Some people find them amusing, others find them refreshing and truthful. I happen to be in the latter camp. We don't need our HC to be a cheerleader, we need him to keep his team focused on their performance and on the job they need to do, and not let their heads get too big.
