Sorry if this type of thread has already been started.

I just want to see two things after this game: our record being 1-0 and we didn't have any injuries.

That's it. That's all that matters to me. In what is sure to be a very tough conference again, we need every win we can get simply for a playoff bye, let alone homefield.

I'm going to try and not get too emotional in either direction after Week 1 because we've seen the history, at least for this team, that it really doesn't show you exactly how the season will go.

In 2002, we soundly controlled Pittsburgh defensively and Donald Hayes looked like a future star in New England. By season's end, our defense was exposed and Hayes was a huge disappointment.

In 2003, do I need to say? Nothing went right against Buffalo, we had several key injuries and some even wanted Belichick fired after cutting Milloy and seeing how it turned out. 17-1 the rest of the way.

In 2004, we won that shootout against Indy. The downside was that James ran all over our defense and had many concerned that the losing Washington and Hamilton put a hole in our D. We finished the year with one of the top run defenses once again.

Look at tonight in Indy. I like I hope many others will give props to that defense but I don't expect that we're going to see a worst-to-first unit or anything when all is said and one.

Again, I just want heath and a W. Besides that, whatever.

Consistency. Discipline. Production. Not so much having Brady sacked and fumble for a TD on the opening play from scrimmage. No injuries. Balance. Win.

What do I want to see: a win with no injuries to the pats! Thank-you and goodnight:rocker:

When I saw your thread the first thing I thought was, I want a win, any way and any how, since it's the first game of the season and we tend to look sort of sloppy the first game of the year. That, and of course, no injuries!! GO PATS!

Pats scoring first and fast.

Thomas 3 sacks and Moss 3 TDs

to see a defense that tears it up and offense that lights it up!!!!of course no injuries....GO PATS!!!!:rocker:

An impressive win and no injuries. I don't care who scores the TDs or who gets the sacks.

I wanna see maybe 4 or 5 sacks

I've already cooment on Patriots vs Jets matchups.

Maybe we could throw all teh freakin Colts threads here at thd Jets, that will confuse them to thinking they are playing the freakin Colts.:enranged: :bricks:

Same as you. Anything can happen in the first game.

I Want To See Fewer Colts Threads On Our Front Page. It's Making Me Sick Already.

Long and deep pass receptions...250 yards rushing...two interceptions...three sacks....no turnovers...and a great defensive backfield...

In addition lots of great cheerleader shots emphasizing the terrific physical shape the ladies have obtained.

Along with no injuries, good passing game, and a defensive stranglehold, I'd really like to see our running game pile up some yards. I'd really like to see Maroney rush for 100-120 yards!

a win and no injuries.

Nothing else matters

I want the Pats to take control early and slam the door shut. No almost come backs like last time we played in NY.
