Think about it the Colts dominating the Saints is a godsend I was getting sick of being listed as the team to beat.

Although I agree I would rather have the Colts lose, it was a non-conference game. The Colts always start strong and tend to slow down at the end of the season. With the lack of depth on defense, this could be a real problem for them. I am not going to get too upset by this game.

I think you need to start counting and wishing for the losses for the Colts now and particularly since they play the Pats head to head, plus this was suppose to be a challenging game for them and realistically only about half of their games on their schedule are legitimately potential for losses.

I think you need to start counting and wishing for the losses for the Colts now and particularly since they play the Pats head to head, plus this was suppose to be a challenging game for them and realistically only about half of their games on their schedule are legitimately potential for losses.

You aren't going to see many losses early in the season for the Colts. They typically are fast starters. Since 2002, the only opening game they have lost is against the Pats. They haven't lost a home opener since 2002. Those happen to be the only games they have lost in September since 2002.

I'm not all that worried about the Colts winning early in the season because they are. That is just how the Colts play. I am more worried how they are playing in November, December, and January.

That small, fast defense can wear down a lot easier than other defenses over the course of the season. Most teams slow down a bit over the season and a team that relies on speed tends to be in more trouble because of it. The Colts also have zero depth at many areas of the defense and that will affect them as the season goes along.

Last year was last year though. If you had the Saints on your schedule last year, you would have thought they were an easy win. That isn't the way that worked out.

The Colts have the Broncos, Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Carolina on their schedule in between now and when they face the Pats on November 4th. Some or even all of those teams could take the next step and be playoff teams. Their schedule isn't as easy as Madden and Michaels made it sound.

That is very true. I don't like being the team to beat. For some reason it makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't know if its because of all the years we were doubted and won, or because of the target that gets painted on your back. I prefer flying under the radar.

This game was as challenging to the Colts as the Jets game is to the Pats. Sure, the Saints and/or Jets could win, but no one is surprised when they don't.

The Pats have done poorly in the past by beating NFC teams and losing to key AFC teams. I think the game that will matter will be the Colts-Pats game. That's the one the Pats need to win.

Of course, the Jets also need to be beaten Sunday.

Every game counts, but some games count more than others.

True. The Indy D won't get the same penetration against Denver or Jacksonville and none of those teams are starting Jason David.

Its far from easy.Just wait until they play the Pats,Chargers,Ravens,Broncos & possibly a good Panthers team.Also don't forget the losses that can come from within their division.The Colts lost all 3 road division games last year.I wasn't impressed at all tonight.They pretty much did what everyone expected.They beat a team that was less talented they're.The Saints are going to be just fine in a very weak NFC.Brees & company will be on fire once again.

That was just horrific O playcalling by Sean Payton-he did the same thing against the Bears in the NFCCG, and him underutilizing Deuce Mc really hurt them. IF he had Deuce run b/w the tackles consistently, they would have kept Manning on the sidelines, and scored alot more pts.

Pt being that don't worry-just run it with Moroney consistently, and you should have no problems beating the Colts.

I agree with you. Sean Payton did a horrible job play calling. He gave up on Deuce way too soon. I still think the colts would have won but it should have been closer.
