Here’s the injury report, just released by the Patriots:Limited Participation in PracticeS Rashad Baker (hand)TE Kyle Brady (team decision)QB Tom Brady (right shoulder)WR Randy Moss (team decision)TE Dave Thomas (foot)DL Mike Wright (knee)

Holy crap! What's wrong with Tom?

Oh my God, Brady use to be listed "probable- shoulder" now it's just "shoulder".

I don't know what to think about this, I really don't know.:scared:

So what does "team decision" mean.

It seems to me that the wording used in the new injury report ("limited participation") versus the old one ("missed a portion of practice") allows for more vagueness. What does "limited" participation mean? Did Belichick say, "Hey Tom, take this snap off, because of your shoulder wink wink"?

Yegads! Before, he probably had a shoulder - now he may not have one at all!

Looks to me like everyone (except the puppies) is ready to play. Good news.

i would not worry. BB is just messin with the rules.

i think it means that, before, the injury was so bad that you couldn't look at tom's torso and even tell whether he had a "shoulder", just that it was "probably" a shoulder but might have been a knee or thigh that somehow migrated to the area of his neck.

now, the injury is a lot better so you can make out the form of his shoulder, but it's still badly deformed. poor guy. keep him in your prayers.

I actually would like to know what "Team Decision" means in that context. I assume it's just a way of saying re: Moss and Kyle Brady, "they're still healing up, we're taking it slow with them," but that seems weird that they wouldn't, BY RULE, have to specify a body part.

FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady missed a portion of practice Thursday because of his chronic right shoulder injury.

Brady was on the field during the time the media was allowed to view practice, but the team later reported that had he "limited participation." Patriots coach Bill Belichick was not available for comment.

For several seasons the two-time Super Bowl MVP has been a regular on the weekly injury report with the shoulder problem, which is believed to date to the 2002 season.

Nevertheless, Brady has started 108 straight games, the third-longest active streak among quarterbacks, trailing only Brett Favre (257) and Peyton Manning (156).

Brady turned 30 last month. At the start of training camp, he said he planned to rest his arm more.

"One thing I'm doing a little bit different is that I'm really monitoring my throws in the preseason," he said. "Before I'd come out and I'd throw 100 balls a day. After a while, you throw 100 balls here at practice, that's 200 balls a day in two-a-days, and you go, `After four days, why is my arm sore?' Well, because you're throwing (so much)."

Receiver Randy Moss, who missed all four preseason games with a leg injury, also was limited in practice Thursday, although the Patriots listed the reason as "team decision."

Brady looked sharp in the Patriots' third preseason game, completing 17 of 22 passes with two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers. He and the rest of New England's starters sat out the final preseason game.

The Patriots open the season Sunday at the New York Jets. Brady is 10-2 as a starter against the Jets with 14 touchdown passes and five interceptions.

What is this all about?

It's about you being ignorant. Brady has been listed as "probable (shoulder)" for YEARS now. Every week.
