The folks at ND are very reactionary.

If the Irish win 3 games, they may call for Charlie's head.

Not with his mammoth contract.

The chances of Weis coming back anytime in the next 10 years are about .01%. The changes of RAC coming back within the next 5 years are about 2%.

No. Charlie will be at Notre Dame for a long time.

I think you will see a difference with Jimmy Clausen this week...

ND has an awful OL Charlie need to recuit some linemen.

I think ND played OK. It's just that GaTech spanked them.

GO JACKETS!!!!!!!

you got a better chance with Romeo

I hope so for Charlie's sake. I don't wanna see the big tub of goo fail.

Charlie burned up his (substantial) inventory of good will with me
when he went after his docs in court.
That was low.

Notre Dame will earn there worst road game loss this week when they visit Penn State. Sorry Charlie.

Romeo is gonna be the DC for the Jets next year. Book it.

You're betting on a guy to choose a job as assistant to a young whippersnapper who used to be his assistant? My take on human nature says no.

Fat Charlie has already compared Jimmy Clausen as ND QB to a combination of Vince Young and Matt Leinhart

Against Penn State's defense I think Jimmy Clausen will be in a bit of a pickle ;)

If Charlie does come back to the NFL, look for him to be the head coach of the Giants. Romeo will probably be his Assistant Head Coach/DC.

Let's face it, what should really happen is the Charlie should hire RAC to fix his defense once RAC gets the ax in Cleveland.

Not sure that would be financially feasible, it is a huge difference from a HC in the NFL to a Dcoord in college football.. unless he does it for the challenge.. CW will be ND for a few more years, and would not surprise me if RAC just retired.. he is getting up there in age.

the whole team is young...it is part of rebuilding and ND knows that.

I can't see RAC going to the college ranks to be a DC. He will get plenty of offers to be a DC in the pro ranks. He will probably get another chance at head coaching in a couple of years. Coaches from coaching trees of HOF coaches get multiple chances to be head coaches no matter how bad they are themselves. All you have do is look at Norv Turner, Dave Wannstedt, Tom Coughlin, Ray Rhodes, and so on.

Don't count Romeo out in Cleveland just yet. Granted in desperation he traded next years #1 for Brady (Quinn that is), so he and Savage know that their jobs are on the line. I watched Cleveland in a couple of pre-season games and they didn't look that bad. They play the AFC East and the NFC West this year, not the toughest schedule. Cleveland is not going to blow anyone out (even after they name Brady the starting QB), luckily in their division only Cincy has any semblance of an offense. I'm not saying that they are going to make the playoffs, however an 7-9, 8-8 season would not be out of the question.
