Wilcots on Sirius NFL Radio today says "The Jets will be the worst team in the NFL"

O.K. We all know Solomon "crotchrot" Wilcots of Sirius NFL Radio's Afternoon Blitz is a jerk and a lousy reporter and broadcaster but this statement he made today is such a BOLD prediction that I think even Adam Schein his partner on the program could not believe his prediction and thought he was crazy.

He states that the Jets will be HORRID on the offensive line and not so good elsewhere that the only wins he sees from the team are at home against Buffalo and Miami and Kansas City - The Jets will finish 3-13 he goes on to state.

He predicts the Jets will not win a game on the road and that includes the game against the lowly Browns.

Now I hate the Jets but with Cotchery and Coles as WRs I think Chad should be able to have a couple decent games and with Washington and Jones the running game should be O.K. too

I think on defense the LBs are a good bunch with Vilma as the anchor.

I can't agree with that,I will put the Jets in 2nd in the division with a 10-6 or 9-7 at worst but 3-13 - worst team in the league? - He is an idiot.

They won't be the worst but I think they'll be below .500. Remember last year the only game they won against a team that finished over .500 was that slop fest game against us. The Jest wasn't very good - like us, their schedule is more difficult but unlike us they don't have the talent to compensate. I've been picking them at 7-9 and am confident they'll be between 6-10 and 8-8.

I don't know about "worst" team in the NFL but they will be pretty bad. People are giving them too much credit from last season. The Jets overachieved with an easy schedule. On Sunday, it's going to be deja vu' for the Jets in the Meadowlands and see themselves in a 24-0 deficet early in the game. This time, they won't make a lucky comeback.

With all the talent they're harvesting off the end of our roster there's no way they're the worst. Even if they're injured they've got the best set of crutches in the NFL.

This might be less of a laughable prediction if they still had Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' Herm running the show. Hermie Baby might be able to pull it off regardless of talent. But with a real coach, and some serious talent in a few key positions, there's no way they're the worst in the league. (Then again, I'd be thrilled to be wrong on this one )

I just looked at their schedule in another thread. After us they go to Baltimore and then host Miami. 3 tough defenses in a row for Noodles to navigate. They host Philly and play Cincy on the road. If they don't get off to a hot start, which could be tough, it could get ugly after the bye. They open against the Steelers at home, then play Dallas 4 days later in Dallas, then Miami in Miami, Cleveland at home, then us and Tenn on the road again back to back before finishing out against KC at home.

8-8 if they're lucky.

If out OL looks like it did in preseason, I'd be happy with 3-13. Oh BTW, we play the Browns at home.

The Jets won't be the worst, but I expect them to take a step back like the Dolphins did after a surprisingly good first season under Saban. The only teams over .500 the Jets beat last year were us and Tennessee when they were 1-4. Now that they will have a tougher schedule, a lot of their weaknesses will be exposed. How they didn't address the NT position or didn't get a replacement for Kendall is beyond me.

Jets finishing last isn't so far fetched even though I still think the Fish are the worst in the division at this point. Should Pennington, however, get knocked out early in the season, a distinct possibility given his injury history and the state of the Jets OLine, it's pretty much another season down the drain where winning an occasional game here or there with no chance of a wildcard berth is in the long run a worse outcome than just tanking it.

The Jets won't be the worst, but I expect them to take a step back like the Dolphins did after a surprisingly good first season under Saban. Actually we beat the Titans when they were 0-0 and Im pretty sure the Packers finish 9-7 last year also, but I may be wrong.
